Firecliff at Desert Willow Golf Resort

As good condition as possible, everything was perfect, even the heat was reasonable at 95°.

Beautiful golf course, we would give the course five stars, I would highly recommend not using the directions from the Golfnow app make you call ahead and get the address!!!!

The Fire Cliff course is scenic and in great shape. Challenging but not tricked out

Beautiful golf course wonderful staff, the only downside I would say is using directions from the golf now app. It took us too a neighbor not even close to the golf course and nearly made us late!!!! If you get a chance go play the course but don’t use the golf now app for directions.

Gorgeous course!!! Beautiful views, awesome and very challenging layout, one of the most enjoyable rounds of golf i have ever played.

A stellar experience from start to finish. The course asks you to golf for 18 holes. A blast.

The only problem was a few tournament groupings playing as they owned the course.

This golf course is a municipal owned by the city of Palm Desert. It is absolutely incredible. You'll be treated like a member of an exclusive private club from the time you drive up to the bag drop, until you return the cart, and after if you go to the bar or restaurant. So many good things to say about Desert Willow Firecliff, not enough time to write it all out. If you can handle the heat, their rates drop SIGNIFICANTLY in the summer/off season. But it's worth every penny of the in season rates. #1 public course in the entire valley, in my opinion.

Rode the Purple tees (6676/72.1/136) in 4.5 twilight @ the GK Plays. Thanks to John, all sponsors and DW for a well run event! Played with kviser, Solinari619 and his dad Joe. Clear, breezy and in the high 80's.

Tees lush and level with few divots.

Fairways mostly lush, usually good to play from.

Rough lush. The ball sat up, not much of a penalty and usually good to chip out of.

Greenside traps had good quality sand and were very maintained. Waste bunkers were firm and not as well maintained as the greenside traps.

Large greens putted medium fast speed and were firm. You had to play for rollout.

Customer Service always excellent here from when you drop your clubs off out front to when you pick them up after the round. Cart gal around several times and there are ice/water stations every few holes. Nice GPS on upgraded carts that have ports for electronics. The all grass driving range is included and is excellent with a nice practice chipping area. Excellent and very fun layout to play. Recommended, one of the best public courses in the Palm Springs area.

Always enjoy playing Firecliff course at Desert Willow. Nice practice facility and restaurant. High on the list of golf courses when I come to the Desert.

With all the choices for golf in the Palm Springs area it was great to get this recommendation from a friend that lives there.. We loved this course.. it was in fantastic shape and has a great layout... we encountered just one small issue.. the map that goes with the golfnow app gives directions to the office and not the golf course..

Luckily we were close enough it didn’t keep us from making our tee time...This is a great course with beautiful scenery and a challenging layout and we also had a great lunch in the clubhouse afterwards.. I will definitely play here again.
