Cinnabar Hills Golf Club - Canyon/Mountain

Great course, challenging layout, beautiful scenery; definitely not for a novice golfer. Make sure you have ample golf balls.

I enjoy playing this course but it's not really a $100 a round destination. I only play it because other SV courses are so jammed on the weekends. However I do enjoy the layouts of each course. The lake course is the most difficult imo.

Great value.

Hope they have that offer again we would certainly play it again.

Very nice layout course, moderately difficult and need to play with accurate drive and placement of second shot is critical. course condition is excellent except for some of the sand trap are thin on top sand and hard in the bottom. Personnel are nice.

It's considered one of the best in the area , the cost is in the high side , specially people that are retired but fair for people that are employed and can afford to pay the week end price which is about double the week day pricing.

This course layout with the three nines has spectacular views vantastic greens and is tough.Very challenging but also extremely Fair. Play at least twice you'll never regret it

2nd time playing this course. The course is fun to play and vey well kept.

Cinnabar is a great track in rural San Jose. It consists of three nines. Every hole on the course is totally different. You will never be playing a similar hole for any of the 27 holes out there. It is a challenging course and if the wind picks up (which it does in afternoon most days) it gets very tough. Definitely one of the better tracks in the South Bay Area.

Course conditions are very good. Some of the quicker greens in the area. Green complexes are tough and difficult to hit greens. Greens are firm and fast so getting it up and down is challenging. Fairways are generous on most holes but wind can wreak havoc on hitting fairways because of big elevation changes and forced carries on some holes.

Facilities are very nice. They have a nice clubhouse with good food and eating area. Three practice putting greens and one bunker/chipping green. Range is good with ability to hit off grass on certain days.

Not sure how they manage groups though. Every time I go there, it seems like the course is empty everywhere but all the groups are bunch up in the same area. Seems like they could be dispersing groups on different nines to space the groups better.

I really enjoyed my round of golf as it had the perfect amount of challenge and beauty. The course was in very nice condition and would go back in a heart beat. This is one of the best course in the Bay Area in my opinion.

I have played Cinnabar for over 15 years. I am still excited to see how it plays each time I go out. The fairways are generous, the contours challenge the eye and the greens are fast and run true (always a little less break than the eye suggests). 20 mins from Silicon Valley but you're out in the countryside with the wildlife and georgous views. Highly recommend Cinnabar every time

Really need to play with someone who knows the course. Landing areas, forced carries and being on the correct sides of fairways. I'm a single digit player and this course gives me trouble to deal with on most holes. Greens are tough reads too.

Oh and stay out of the rough and sensitive area if you want to go home tick free.

Tee'd of a little after 4pm and I was able to finish 18. Course was in good shape and as always the greens were really fast
