Willowick Golf Course

Stopped playing because conditions were so bad. After a year or so gave it another try after deciding to play at the last minute. Course conditions are worse that ever.

Fairways are dry. Fairways are bumby . Dirt patches all over the Fairways. The bunkers are like cement. The greens are slow but ok.

I haven’t played here in a while. But, when I returned, I can clearly see that they are making much needed, well -deserved improvements. They are letting the grass grow everywhere, I suppose, to improve the overall conditions of the playing field. But, the so the grass has grown way out of control .

I hit my second shot on the Par 5, 6th hole and came up short left of the green .I saw where it landed, but when I stated looking for it, I couldn’t find it. Not good for me and pace of play. It’s not just here but on other holes that the rough is growing to a point where finding your ball is a hit or miss.

Not bad for beginners. They are not contorted fairway. So hard to fine ball even on fairway.

The course is very run down. Fairways are full of chunks of tall grass that just need to be mowed but no one has put in the effort do so. There are branches that have fallen onto the fairway, along with trees that were cut down and the trunks left behind.They should not be charging regular rates for this place. The pro shop and restaurant seem nice but they don't match the neglected course. I won't bother to come back unless I hear they made changes.

I haven't been here in a year or longer because the property was going down hill, saw an open tee time and figured I would give it a shot. Worst course conditions I have ever played....ever!!! This place might as well be closed its literally that bad. Spend your $50 somewhere else because this was an absolute joke. There are over grown weeds in the middle of the fairway!!! Love the staff, they were really nice. Don't come here!

Here is not bad. But course is not good conditions.

Although this course is not in the best shape, it is a fantastic value for the area. We played at around 10 AM and played in under 4 hours. In the OC area, rounds usually take much longer than that. Also only paid 35 dollars for 18 with a cart which is much lower than the running rate in the area.

The course is poorly maintained. I understand that the dollar amount is not high but it doesn’t mean that the facility should be that crappy. I will not be going to this course any time soon or maybe in the future. The grass is not maintained at all. You have homeless people just walking across the course.

We have playing Willowick for many years. I would rate the course condition as the worst I have ever seen. The fairways are covered with large weeds. Looks like the rest of the course hasn't been mowed in weeks. It is so bad, I wonder if it is deliberate. With that said, being able to play a regulation length course with a cart for only $25. makes it ALMOST worth it.

This is a very fun course to play on. The fairways are wide but some of the tall grass hides your ball too well. The staff are very friendly and so were the other golfers we spoke with. I’ll definitely be back to play there again soon!
