Westchase Golf Club

Nice track overall. Easy to get to and 15 minutes to TPA. Some cool holes, lots of water. The traps are in great shape with high quality sand. Greens roll true and a bit firm, play short as even wedges rolll a bit. 5 tee boxes. Would love to play again knowing the layout a bit better. A magazine with the hole description was helpful. Staff friendly. Reasonable beer prices. Cart had a flat, proshop had a replacement out in 1/2 a hole. Smallish locker room with shower. Will return.

Played the morning after a rain storm the afternoon before. It was cart path only so it took longer to play a hole when your ball was opposite the cart path. Greens had drained well, putting rolled fast and consistent. Some sand traps and fairways had partial standing water. Some parts of the cart paths you had to drive through several inches of water.

From the gentleman who met us with the golf cart, the starter and the drink person, and those we saw in the course, everyone was extremely cordial and helpful. We only had two in our group and the starter sent us off before two larger groups so that we wouldn’t have to wait. A challenging course in excellent condition. Totally enjoyed the day.

Very friendly staff - course was on good condition

My wife and I had the pleasure of playing Westchase for the first time. The course was in very good condition. The Greens were challenging, staff was outstanding!

I thoroughly enjoyed Westchase. Pete the starter is awesome and the two members I played the back nine with were friendly. I would definitely play again. Not the longest course but great holes with strategic placement make for a challenge.

Given the reviews, i expected a course in better shape tee to green... needs some attention on the tee blocks, fairways and bunkers ( and additional rakes). Greens rolled very fast and true, it was actually the best part of the course. Course layout was okay, good landing areas.

The staff were very friendly and responsive. Following our round we had a shower and that was not fun.... Please clean your washroom and shower areas, people expect these areas to be attended to much better... mold in the shower is not a good thing!

The course was in great shape with quick greens and smooth fairways. Lots of wildlife ( gators, eagles, birds, and strange fish). The only two negatives were no beer cart and the group in front of us played as a 6 some for most of the back 9 (we still managed to finish in 4 1/2 hrs but could have been better.).

The course layout is great. There isn't a dumb hole in this tract. There's a reasonable challenge on each one. Visually some look real hard but there's room. Greens were real good shape but not unfairly fast.

We had a really nice day out on the course -- it is very scenic - saw alligators and herons and egrets and muskovie ducks.........and the course itself is really pretty. I would definitely play this course again when in the area - it was the nicest of the ones I played on this trip and worth the extra few bucks vs. the others (Eagles - Forest and Clearwater CC).

The greens were mostly very fast -- except that were wetter than others, due to all of the rain the day before. Because the course got 4+ inches of rain the day before, we were understandably restricted to the cart paths, which always has a tendency to impact pace of play. This wasn't much of a problem until the last three holes when I think alcohol may have finally caught up with the group in front of us who just began to do stupid stuff and back up everyone -- frustrating way to end for sure, waiting on every single shot for several minutes the last few holes.

Beautiful course. This was my first time playing Westchase and I really enjoyed it. Course conditions (tee to green) were great.

Highly recommend playing it if your in the area.

My son made a hole in one on 15 to cap off a really nice day. Pace of play could have been better but we were playing golf not shoveling snow so it’s all good.

My first time here and I was a little disappointed. The fairways were in excellent shape. The greens were fast but very thin and worn and relatively hard-got some big bounces off of high approach shots.

Some of the holes are really beautiful-interesting mixture of water and sand on most. Fairways are fairly wide and not a huge challenge to hit. BUT there is dense undergrowth outside the rough. If you hit into it, you will NOT find your ball.

I only play HOT DEALS on GolfNow and at $45, this was overpriced compared to the many $25 fees I can pay on similar golf courses. Lake Jovita is far superior for about the same price, and the greens are in much better condition.
