About
Countryway Golf Club is an executive golf course that is known for its extremely affordable rates. Situated in the heart of Westchase, it is considered one of the best values in Tampa Bay. The layout consists of eleven par-3 holes and seven par 4s. The golf course is challenging enough for more advanced golfers but it is still player-friendly enough for beginners to enjoy. The rolling terrain provides undulations in both the greens and fairways. The hills also make for some challenging putts. There is no shortage of water at Countryway Golf Club with hazards coming into play on 14 holes. There are also bunkers strategically placed throughout.

Review
For a short course, there is some "challenge" to it.......recommendation is to leave the driver in the bag....there are 11 par 3's and 7 par 4's....no lpar 5's.........the condition is good....especially the greens.....fairways could use some water, but that is the case everywhere......we played from the back tees, which at 3500 yds seemed an easy task, but there are certain holes that proved very "challenging"...overall, a nice test with the short and medium irons......
Great iron practice
Fun course to play. Fairways were a little dry in spots. Greens were in great condition putting was fast but rolled true. Love coming here for the iron practice.
Great time great course!
Greens are best I played in the area and for a par 61 it is very challenging. People are nice courses in great shape for having a long drought. We were enjoying the wildlife too.
19 Handicap
As a handicap golfer I found that the course was easy to play even though some of the holes need some tree limbs cut. The blue tee boxes deal with it the most.
Don’t play here
Horrible tee time management way over crowed par 61 took 4 hours. Ranger doesn’t push play . People playing from tees they shouldn’t . Just horrible place to play nice course but horrible pace of play just don’t play here . Will be nothing but frustrated and watching for others balls.
Horrible pace of play
Over crowded course will take you 4/5 hours to get through. Horrible spacing of team times. No one keeps up pace of play. Had four old lady’s hitting from the whites while taking 10 shots a piece to get to the green. Just terrible won’t be back don’t recommend. Spend the extra 20 play somewhere else
Just not for me
Absolutely no awareness of how many people they jam through the courses. There was 8-10 carts on one whole. Minimum 20 wait at every tee box and half fairways are rotted grass and sand.
Never again, I brought a guest and was completely embarrassed because of the piece of play in shape of the course. Six hours of misery
Pace of Play and stacked tee box
This is my 3rd time at this course and will never be back. All 3 times they’ve had a minimum of 8 people stacked on tee #1. As long as they get their money, they don’t care how actual play is ran.
Great course
The greens were immaculate! The lakes were teeming with fish and wildlife. They have one crazy par 4 which should be a par 5 in my opinion. Overall great course…no cart girl.
