Greens were a little pitted but rolled good. Great time!

My round went well and afterwards I went to the dining area to enjoy my fish fry that was included in the price of the round. Sounded like a great deal. I chose to sit at bar since I was alone and didn't want to wait for a table. As I sat down at bar, and politely greeted the bartender that was making a drink order, standing directly in front of my seat. I acknowledged that she looked very busy and sat patiently assuming she would eventually put at least a water in front of me since I just played 18 holes...NOPE! After 15 minutes of really akward pretending I'm not there I got up and walked out.

It almost seemed that she was deliberately avoiding giving me any sort of service. I'm sure she posses some sort of skill that she excels or is slightly mediocre at, but tending bar is clearly not it. Don't fire her...times is tuff...just place her in a position that she has at least the slightest clue of how it should be done.

This is actually one of the better courses in the Ahwatukee area. I've played this course several times, as I live in the area, and its kept in pretty good condition. Unfortunately, the staff inside the pro shop is absolutely horrible. When you enter to check in, there is never any friendliness, no smiling, no greetings, no appreciation for your business. I would expect this from maybe the Phoenician (although they are GREAT there), but it totally turns me off to ever playing here, which is really unfortunate, because they would get much more of my business!

The staff were wonderfully accommodating and friendly.They let us play the back nine first - just in case the rain came back and we had to cut our round shot.
There are some beautiful views along the course.

My only negative comment is the condition of the ladies' rented clubs. Although my male companion had a lovely set of clubs, my clubs were mismatched and had seen better days. Quite a disappointment.

The layout is wonderful. Too bad the current owners won't put any money into restoring its glory.

We played last Thursday, was suppose to rain that day, Scared off many players. There mistake. Course was excellent if little slow on greens.
Played in four hours.

This course allows 5 golfers in groups, therefore the pace of play for following this larger group is incredibly
slow. We wanted so much that we lots interest in our game, chatted with people in front of us and behind all at the same time. My question is why would you continue to allow to happen.

Any course that allows groups of 5 out should ensure they advertise this because we would never have chosen this course. Our round was 5 hours...we don't enjoy waiting 5 minutes on every hole!! The course itself is great and the views are beautiful.

Overall, not a bad course. Some very scenic holes. Course was in good shape but the greens had been aerated recently.

I usually enjoy this course but today was another story. The greens were in terrible shape with tons of sand on them. Very poor quality... For $60 and an hour drive it was not worth it. You can actually see all the sand fly up when you land on the green.

Average course conditions but the afternoon rate made it a value...

So I got to the hotel from the airport and I had time for a quick 9. This course was like 15 minutes away. I booked 9 hole with cart for $15. Wasn't expecting much, but I was quite satisfied. Shorter course and mostly a lay up off the tee. Green were, played on, a lot. But I enjoyed the risk/reward type play. Of course it was Valentines day so..................

Staff was great. Course conditions were average, in that the greens looked stressed but still putted very well. I will return but will wait for course conditions to improve.

The best part about the course are the views! I played 10 courses in the past two weeks in Arizona. This one was in the worst shape. Tee boxes were below average, the fairways were ok, and the greens were quick, but very bumpy! If you pay more than $45 for this course, you paid too much!!!

Played club west for the first time 3/7/15, overall I really enjoyed it, the fairways were in really good condition, greens were a little rough in some areas but they still rolled pretty true. The staff was awesome, they took care of me and were very friendly. I will for sure play there again.

Course was in good shape and have always loved the layout. Great hot dogs and the staff was awesome. Very playable even from the tips. Some of the tee boxes are back in the trees which makes figuring out a line to hit it on kind of a challenge but just had a blast. Nice elevation change throughout. The greens rolled really good and the bunker I was in had good sand. We'll be back.

Played this a few times in the past and was surprised at the condition of the greens. They were bumpy and had many ball marks that had been repaired but the grass had not grown in, just patches of black marks. On some par 3's there were so many it really looked strange. I remember when the greens were excellent, the ball rolled true and fast. It's obvious there is a problem and hopefully it gets resolved soon. The pace of play was slow after about 7 holes, on the 17th, there were 3 groups backed up. With these conditions I could not recommend it to my fellow golfers.

It is a very nice course. Scenic back nine. Enjoyable

Played with my wife and we were paired up with another couple and enjoyed each others company. The course is a nice layout with mot holes being straight forward. A couple of par 5's were tricky as to shot placement and you need to play the course more than once to know where to hit to. Greens were lacking some grass and were a little beat up in places. We paid $75 for the round and would not go back at that price unless the conditions improved. The bunkers need work and were inconsistent as far as the amount of sand in them. Like I said, it could be better!
