About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 2019.
The Club West Golf Club offers 18 holes on a Brian Whitcomb-designed golf course that was originally built in 1993 and measures 7,142 yards from the championship tees on a par-72 golf course.
Club West Golf Club claims the 17th as its signature hole. It features double-greens, tees elevated 100 feet above the course and vistas of South Mountain and of the Estrella Mountain Range; players ought to pick the green they desire and then check the yardage. If the wind isn't blowing you back, pick one less club than usual, aim right and swing smoothly.
After the round, head over to the Club West Golf Club's clubhouse, which is the gorgeous home of the Lakeside Grille, which serves breakfast and lunch inside the stunning dining room or on a spacious patio featuring a fireplace and lake view.

beautifull Course
Hidden Jewal!!!!! I recommend everyone to play at least once
HS
The Greens were slow due to recent overseed. The Fairway's were in great shape.
The pace was reasonable. We were a 4ball and it took us just over 4 hours
Excellent Day on the Course
Very scenic course with challenges if you're not controlling your drives. Excellent layout that challenges you by forcing you to utilize all the clubs. Course had just opened from overseeding so the greens were extremely slow but other than that it is a good course.
GREAT shape after overseeding
One of the first groups out on the day they opened after overseeding. Course was in excellent shape....fairways and greens came in nicely and looks like they put fresh sand in the bunkers. Always enjoy playing here....and the first week special of $29 made it an outstanding value!
Better Management Needed
I gave up after 9 holes due to slow pace. Making the turn at over 3 hours is not reasonable pace of play. I was told they have no marshal until busy season. Additionally, the course was preparing for over seed and the course was a hard packed dust bowl. Approach shots into green would bounce ten feet high. Not planning to visit again no matter what the green fees are.
Nice course
Played the weekend before they overseeded and it was still in decent shape. Pace of play was a little slow, but it had nothing to do with spacing between tee times just a slow group in front of us. I want to play it again after they overseed. Cart girl was around every 3 or 4 holes. Staff was very courteous. Would definitely recommend this place.
Awesome views
Nestled in the foothills this course was fun, fairly challenging and had spectacular views. I would play it again..
great shape for the money
Compared to the other Foothills Golf Group courses, this course is actually worth playing. The fairways were green, well manicured and playable. Green rolled true, just need people to fix their ball marks and they would be pristine. Definitely recommend for the money.
Great Shape for Time of Year
Course was in good shape, staff was great and beers were cold. Will definitely come back!
Improved
Course in best condition in a couple of years. Still needs to get better.
Greens extremely slow.
Back Nine
Very good course, facility and staff. Although, it seemed that the pro shop let some folks tee off on #10 just as we were finishing #9. I don't think that courses should to that.
Mosquito heaven
This course has great potential! Lots of Mosquitos and no beverage cart!
Ahwatukee Courses at their finest
I originally booked at the Duke but the monsoon from earlier in the week played a toll on the course. It was communicated promptly to us via email that there was damage and only half the course was playable. Stephen Reish, the Head Golf Professional at the Duke took my correspondence and was patient with me while I cried and moaned about the scenario. I asked him if we could have our tee time moved to Club West down the road and he made it happen within minutes. We got basically the same tee time at the same rate and we couldn't be happier. Club West was in fantastic shape for having just endured the monsoon. It was a perfect mix of challenging and rewarding. Curtis at the front desk and the rest of the staff were fantastic and the beer was 2 for $6. How can you beat that? Thank you Stephen and the Ahwatukee courses management and staff for going out of your way to make sure I had an awesome golf weekend.
my son loved it first time there
well it was interesting been there many times and my sons first time, loved the elevated t box back split hole, he never seen such fun and excitement birdie the hole he did, so we going back this saunday, overall hey the price is great and people are fine, have to expect course a little dry but a lot of rain so come on people test yr skills here. thanks ken
Good course
I had another enjoyable round at club west. The fairways are good some narrow and challenging , the greens were medium pace and in good condition . The pace was great completed round the 3 1/2 hours, will return soon.
Pleasant experience at Club West
My girlfriend is a true beginner and we wanted to play a quiet round by ourselves. Club West was perfect for our purpose. We played in 3 hours. The course is in good shape for the summer. Fairways a little sparse in areas but just fine; greens rolled very nicely and a good speed. No beverage cart but plenty of cold water on the course (bring your water bottle). Fairways are not tight but you have to hit it relatively straight. Two par 3's with very elevated tee boxes provide for scenic and good challenges. For the price, Club West is a great deal this time of the year.
Always a great round at club west
Whenever my husband and I visit Arizona, we make sure we play at Club West. Staff are very friendly. The course is always in good shape. The pace of play is always excellent. No complaints. Very enjoyable. A must play course.
Very Nice place *****
This was first time there
I play 3 to 4 timed a month
I now found my favorite place
A friend told me about it and I loved it and for under $20.00 what a steel
In fact I booked another round for $11.00 per person plus fees today for next weekend
Everything from the staff to the course was great!!
Course is in great shape
Given the weather the course is in great shape. We have played here before and really enjoy the course.
We had a couple of singles who played on top of us which was annoying but no real complaints.
worth the ride
well worth the 43 mile trip from east Mesa.
Could have used more signage to the course.
