About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 2019.
The Club West Golf Club offers 18 holes on a Brian Whitcomb-designed golf course that was originally built in 1993 and measures 7,142 yards from the championship tees on a par-72 golf course.
Club West Golf Club claims the 17th as its signature hole. It features double-greens, tees elevated 100 feet above the course and vistas of South Mountain and of the Estrella Mountain Range; players ought to pick the green they desire and then check the yardage. If the wind isn't blowing you back, pick one less club than usual, aim right and swing smoothly.
After the round, head over to the Club West Golf Club's clubhouse, which is the gorgeous home of the Lakeside Grille, which serves breakfast and lunch inside the stunning dining room or on a spacious patio featuring a fireplace and lake view.

Surprise Views
Greens were outstanding. Most fairways were in good condition. Great last couple of elevated par 3's. Pro shop could be better versed in terms of bookings. Front end outside staff greeting golfers were superb. Food and beverage staff were very friendly and provide excellent customer service.
Quality of food we ordered was excellent.
Great Course Good Conditions and Beautiful Views
Course is in great shape, greens rolling good and some of the best conditions. Food and Drink was good. A little slow but it was a holiday.
Will definitely play again.
Love the scene and course layout
I have played twice on my business trips. Its a great course with great views... Bcos its sitting at the tip of south mountain, the undulation and elevation is perfect. Dessert type course so don't expect big redwood or rain forest trees here. Course in general is short for me. Lots of hidden spots so take your time and scout out the course before you pick your clubs of play. Quite empty for the both times I played. Its municipal cost but a semi private grass conditions (maybe the worst I have yet seen - lucky me) Both times when I finishes my game the café is either closed or about to close. I don't think I have seen cart girls on my both play... under a hot sun you got to have those chicks running around to cool your desire... I have lots of photos but cant beat the view them in person factor... you will be amazed. man where is the sexy cart girls?
Excellent track especially for a public course
Yes it was hot temperature wise so greens that don't hold approach shots and fast putt rolls are nornal. Very long course even with the AZ air. Must be a true big hitter to play from the tips. Definitely a track I would frequently play if I lived in PHX.
greens were not great
The greens had problems and course was pretty dried out.
Janitorial maintenance
Two of the restrooms were lacking in supplies (toilet tissue) and one other was needing immediate serious cleaning
I liked it.
Paired up with a nice couple from the area. Liked the course and would play it again.
First time playing Club West
I wanted to try this course and found a deal on Golf Now. I was pleased with the conditions of the course. A bit difficult to find a level spot on a couple tee boxes but that was a minimal issue. The staff was friendly. Pace of play was just a shade over 4 hours. I would play the course again.
Good course with great views
Excellent course with some great holes, and mountain views. Especially liked the nice fairways and big greens that were in good shape. The overall condition of this course was great and well maintained, the staff was extra friendly and I felt much welcome. Most of the holes were wide open, yet about a 6 or 7 were narrow and tough, making it a challenge for most golfers. I hope to play this course many more times to come and hope to bring my friends.
good round of golf
I did the tee forward and played from the white tee's and shot 76. Course was in pretty good shape the greens a little rough, overall worth the value.
AN ENJOYABLE DAY
THE COURSE WAS 90 DEGREES, BUT IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE, FOR JUST BEING OUT OF " OVERSEED ". THE PACE OF PLAY WAS GOOD ( FOUR HOUR ROUND ) . THE GREENS WERE A BIT ROUGH, BUT PUTTED GOOD AND WERE PLENTY FAST. WE REALLY ENJOY CLUB WEST...ONLY DOWNSIDE WAS THAT THE TRAPS WERE REALLY ROUGH!!
Nice course for the money
Most of the playing surfaces were in good shape but a bit scruffy around the edges, but it is a desert course. Greens were in good shape. Not bad value by Scottsdale standards.
Excellent layout
Great designed course that was in good shape from tee to green. Great holes included 8,15,16 and 17. Great elevation views. Only negative was the pace of play no ranger present and a lot of slow and poor golfers on course playing the wrong tees. Had 4 groups on the same hole several times during the round. Would recommend playing course if in the area but not a destination course.
A favorite course.
We play Club West on most trips to the valley. It has an interesting mix of holes, some very dramatic and conditions were very good. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We had a great time and will return again.
Don't miss this one...
Outstanding experience. The course was in really good shape and has some great holes. There are some amazing scenics...the drives from greens to tees are beautiful. Club West is definitely a "must-play."
Nice course
The course was in pretty good shape after over seeding.
Great course
Really liked the course but speed of play was brutal...5 hrs.
Excellent course for intermediate players
Excellent value for the money.
Beautiful views over South Mountain range.
Good pace of play.
It is hard to loose a ball...
Totally enjoyable!
A great track
Allowing for the need to allow the greens to fill out, they were shaggy and slow however, the course was in reasonable shape, despite some bare spots
Starter useless
Over 4 hours. No ranger. Poor service
Would not recommend. Course condition
Very good.
