About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 2019.
The Club West Golf Club offers 18 holes on a Brian Whitcomb-designed golf course that was originally built in 1993 and measures 7,142 yards from the championship tees on a par-72 golf course.
Club West Golf Club claims the 17th as its signature hole. It features double-greens, tees elevated 100 feet above the course and vistas of South Mountain and of the Estrella Mountain Range; players ought to pick the green they desire and then check the yardage. If the wind isn't blowing you back, pick one less club than usual, aim right and swing smoothly.
After the round, head over to the Club West Golf Club's clubhouse, which is the gorgeous home of the Lakeside Grille, which serves breakfast and lunch inside the stunning dining room or on a spacious patio featuring a fireplace and lake view.

This is a favorite!
We really enjoy this course, wide fairways really help and though it has 4 par 5s, it doesn't feel too long. It's a beautiful setting and the holes are interesting, not just slugging along on a straight-a-way.
Great course to have fun
This is my second time playing at Club West. Me and my friends from other states had fun here. Nice views and challenging holes. Nicely maintained. Will definitely play it again!
Nice layout but the course needs wokk
This course is a challenging layout with several interesting holes. Unfortunately, the condition of the course has deteriorated since I last played it two years ago. The fairways have a lot of bare spots with numerous unfilled divots, the tee boxes need work, and the greens have numerous scars from unhealed ball marks. I suspect that, like many other courses, Club West is suffering from a lack of funds.
In spite of the condition, I had an enjoyable round. If you can get a good GolfNow deal, this course is worth a play.
Great value for your money
The course offers the average golfer a great experience . . . . . .excellent greens.
course in very good shape, 4 hr round
started on time and had very good no back up round including the par 3s. refreshment cart came by three times on the front nine and 3 times on the back.
Interesting par 5's
Other than the pace of play (nearly 5 hours), the experience was very good, nice greens, challenging par 3's, and interesting par 5's with option to go for the green or lay-up. Be careful cutting the doglegs, the desert can come into play.
Love this course
I've played this course at least 100 times over the 18 years I've been in the area and it is by far my favorite. No two holes are alike, several quite unique. Fairways and greens are in great shape year-round. Friendly staff. A+++
The course was beautiful and fun to play!!!
It was the first time playing Club West for my husband and I. We loved it. The course was challenging but still very playable and fun. The holes were uniquely designed, had so much character and beauty throughout the entire course. What struck me was the great scenic mountain views and desert landscaping all rolled into a lush green, pristine playground. It took us a little longer to play 18 holes than normal, but the slow down was because of cart path only after over seeding. It will be much faster after golf carts are allowed onto the fairways. The facilities were clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. We just moved to Arizona and want to play many of the courses, but we will definitely be back to play Club West!
Nice course but arrogant clientele
This course is a stiff challenge and well maintained in season. Staff was more friendly and reasonable than past experiences possibly due to overseeding prep. Must have overloaded start times as bunched up at every hole on back 9 with long waits. However, this course seems to attract many with a bad attitude and difficult to deal with on the course. Maybe because is more of a country club.
Awesome challenging course!!
I have played a lot of courses in the valley and this has to be one of best for your money in Oct .. greens still running very true even though they are getting ready to over seed... Very good layout challenging all levels of golf with some awesome views...
Course bouncing back after a tough summer
This is a very good course with a fantastic layout but sadly it suffered badly during the summer & was actually closed for several weeks. It is just now coming back with the fairways very patchy but the greens & surrounds are in good shape. There are many hidden twists & turns on several of the longer holes & with hindsight you'd probably play the hole differently. It pays to check the course guide closely!
While the course was not at its best the deal offered included lunch which was a really good deal. The staff were super-friendly & I'd definitely look to play this course again.
Great course
We like to play this course at least once every time we come south for holidays. Great course.
