Foothills Golf Club

Great potential, but I couldn’t get my ball to the hole on what I thought were slow greens.

I was hoping that this course would be in better condition since it is now managed by Troon The rough is unpredictable and had lots of weeds. It could be so much better and a rate of $125 is overpriced for what you get.

Good course, although still getting used to dormant grass. ALL staff that we encountered were welcoming and engaging … a significant plus!!

Timing was slow on our round and we did not finish before dusk… 4.5 hrs plus for round. Otherwise we would recommend.

Nice staff, really nice location, stunning surroundings due to terrain and the cribs. I can’t understand why this course is not better kept though. Slightly bewildered by that. This enclave of mega bucks homes should justify greater care and maintenance. This course could be a real gem. If I had the coin, sorry multi millions, I’d make this a destination for a fun 18 and an entertaining day, dreaming about owning one of these places.

Course in decent shape. Fairways over-seeded for winter but not all the way so functional but not aesthetically pleasing. Some areas grass way to short so almost like hardpan.

But have played this course many times so we knew that was what we'd have.

Troon took over management recently but still way too much dead trees, branches, detritus around fairways and holes. Would have expected Troon management to have cleaned this up.

Was severely disappointed in the condition of this course - understand rough not watered but the fairways were not in good shape and neither were the greens. Some greens had been painted to hide rough spots. Feel totally ripped off at cost to play this course. Had played this course in previous years and was looking forward to going back, will not be back

Foothills golf club is a course that has tremendous potential to offer golfers of all levels a challenging and fun day. The pace of play was terrible and not enforced by course rangers. The fairways were in above average condition with the greens suffering due to over play damage and hole placements being placed in areas within only feet of where they had previously been. The tee boxes were absolutely terrible with few level areas to tee off and were beat up with little available turf to play from. Additionally, tee markers were placed facing the desert rather than fairways which made for a strange set up. Good course but not worth the money spent to play. Nearby municipal courses are in better shape for half the money.

Retaining walls where the houses are in desperate need of painting.. looks very bad.
