About
Foothills Golf Club offers 18 holes of golf on a golf course designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf and built in 1988. The par-72 golf course measures 6,901 yards. Foothills Golf Club sits among the South Mountains, and features a contrast of challenge and forgiveness on a links-style course that allows golfers to play a target layout that has more than 65 bunkers that daunt, fairways that roll and desert that has a lot of rocks. The fabulous championship golf course provides the locale for all levels of golfer to shoot a memorable day of golf.
After taking in the views of the South Mountains on the Foothills Golf Club's golf course, head back to the clubhouse, for wonderful vistas of the course and the Estrella Mountain Range.

Great course!
Fairly open without being super easy. Presented a moderate challenge for a couple of mid-handicappers. Great value relative to area courses.
Very Nice Course with Qualifiers
People are great, beverage cart service frequent and outstanding. $9 for a tall beer is a little over the top (Church Music). Also, cutting the holes while leaving a "volcano" effect retards many puts from going in. They need to have the cups absolutely level to the ground. Closing the starter/beverage shack hours before dark restricts 19th hole libations on the lower patio. Fairways, aprons and greens fairly decent. Foothills is always enjoyable.

Just a sad site to see. The layout is great but the course conditions are sketchy at best. Greens were acceptable but looking around you can see this place needs lots of TLC. Even though one of the less expensive courses in the area, wasn’t worth the $100 price tag.
Great Layout…Needs some TLC
Great layout and staff but course conditions need some love. Tee boxes, fairways, greens all need to be better for this time of year. Also, restaurant doesn’t open until 10am on Sundays? Doesn’t make much sense.
This course needs help
The clubhouse is very nice, and the staff is terrific. It has a driving range and we liked the burger & dog stand at the turn. The course hasn't seen water in months. The grassy areas are few and far between, so it's real desert golf. Felt like we were playing in the desert all day. This place could be a real gem if the course were in better shape.
Nice course with great layout
Challenging course that I haven't played in awhile. We booked a late afternoon tee time (2:20) and was pretty nervous we wouldn't get in a full 18. Pace was a little slow on the front 9 (~2 hrs 20 mins), but hardly any waiting on the back 9 and we got in a full 18 before dark. Great layout with some challenging holes with several that if you miss the fairway, your ball is lost.
We'll be back.

Very friendly staff. It was 54° and howling wind. Like the course. Good value compared to greens fees in Phoenix
