Foothills Golf Club offers 18 holes of golf on a golf course designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf and built in 1988. The par-72 golf course measures 6,901 yards. Foothills Golf Club sits among the South Mountains, and features a contrast of challenge and forgiveness on a links-style course that allows golfers to play a target layout that has more than 65 bunkers that daunt, fairways that roll and desert that has a lot of rocks. The fabulous championship golf course provides the locale for all levels of golfer to shoot a memorable day of golf.

After taking in the views of the South Mountains on the Foothills Golf Club's golf course, head back to the clubhouse, for wonderful vistas of the course and the Estrella Mountain Range.

Good layout, course needs work

I’ve played Foothills Golf Club several times over the years and it has really gone down hill. I was hopeful with Troon managing the course now, the course conditions would be much better. That wasn’t the case. The greens were very slow and needed to be cut and the landscape round the fairways were totally overgrown. The only thing Troon has increased so far is the rates.

Course in transition pace play terrible

Lots of dry places with winter grass dying. Greens totally inconsistent with speeds with different grass on different greens. Pace play horrendous especially nobody on course. Course Marshall needs to be proactive in keeping play moving.

Okay bones

Fairways good. Greens slow but no bare spots. Layout is real good. Edges of course need help. Employees were out playing and jumped in front of me. Was a 5some and weren’t representing the troon brand very well. Kinda high and mighty when I was playing thru. Oh well as I did play thru and never saw them again.

Solid Course

I live near this course and have played it 4 or 5 times in the last three years. The greens and fairways are kept nice and it is a nice challenging course. It didn’t get the 5th star because the surrounding fences really make the place feel dilapidated. I feel like this is probably the HOA’s failure but it does take away from the overall sheen of the course. Also-there was no food at the turn when I played (afternoon tee time) which was disappointing. Overall still quite enjoyable and I will return.
