About
Foothills Golf Club offers 18 holes of golf on a golf course designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf and built in 1988. The par-72 golf course measures 6,901 yards. Foothills Golf Club sits among the South Mountains, and features a contrast of challenge and forgiveness on a links-style course that allows golfers to play a target layout that has more than 65 bunkers that daunt, fairways that roll and desert that has a lot of rocks. The fabulous championship golf course provides the locale for all levels of golfer to shoot a memorable day of golf.
After taking in the views of the South Mountains on the Foothills Golf Club's golf course, head back to the clubhouse, for wonderful vistas of the course and the Estrella Mountain Range.

Highly recommended
Visiting family in area. Picked foothill’s for its location and cost. Course was in excellent shape - both fairways and greens. Foursome in front only had 3 sets of clubs so there was some hold ups on occasions with them. They were decent golfers but still - this shouldn’t happen.

Overseeing cart path only round
Golf course was just coming out of overseeing , so not fair to rate it . Everything else was fine .

Coming in nicely!
The course is looking great after the over seed. Fairways were very healthy and great to hit from. Greens are probably a week from getting cut and rolled to a nice stump. Right now they are slow but that’s to be expected. We walked due to cart path only, but the pace was perfect and finished in 4.5 hours.

Great Value
The course is an excellent value for the cost. The green s were extremely slow and bumpy but the rest of the course was in very good condition. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Foothills Walk
The course setup was fair until we got to the backside. The rough was playable on front side. But we lost three golf balls in the heavy grass on the back. It was a slow round of golf with the walking to our balls. People in front of us were very slow walking out to their balls then going back to get a club.

Course coming out of overseeding so fairways are still sparse in places and greens quite slow. Should be good in a couple weeks

Perfect Day For Golf At A Great Course
Second time playing here. The last time they were scraping the fairways. The course is in great shape. The staff super friendly. Frankly, several other courses in the area need to find out how Foothills is able to attract staff that are friendly.
I’ve already recommended the course to a couple of friends.
If there is a negative it’s that there was no ranger on duty or at least that I saw. The group in front of us must have had 2 emerging PGA superstars playing as they would hit their drives around 200 yards and then wait until the group in front of them left the green, even on Par 5’s.

On the way
Course is in relatively good shape with the exception of fairways, not cut down yet! Understandable because of the season, course should be really good in about 2-3 weeks, definitely worth playing

A good time
Reciently reseaded so the course was cart path and rough only which caused a relatively slow pace.. fairways and greens were in great shape. My only complaint was that the bar and restaurant were closed when we finished and it was mid afternoon.
