Course layout was phenomenal. Nice scenery, fairways and tee boxes pretty nice, and a superb course layout. Temporary greens were tiny. Will definitely be back.

The course is fabulous. The greens were rough, but that’s what we paid for great course.

Tees , & Fairways were in excellent shape , but the greens were in bad shape & they have 3 temporary greens , which we were made aware of before we played, would be a great course when the greens get back to normal

Course overseeded greens in December 2024. Presently very slow. But should be fine early February. Fairways very nice. Friendly staff.

That Foothills Golf Course had the worst greens I had ever seen. Actually the worst I have seen in my 27 years playing the sport. I was shocked that Teeoff did not put an alert, and I came in absolutely blind. I get it: the greens weren't aerated. They were just unplayable. I understand that there was an issue with salt getting into the water, destroying the greens, and that the course is now shut down temporarily. My question is, why do they let people out two days before, knowing you will damage your reputation further? When I arrived, the starter informed me of the issue and told me they were shutting down in 2 days. The most regrettable part was that I canceled a tee time at a different course because I wanted to pay more for a better one. Can't win them all. I never leave bad reviews, but this was necessary. This course actually has a lot of potential, a nice setting, and a good layout/architecture. I hope they can fix their problems moving forward. Also, this course is managed by Troon, but that is conveniently left off any markings until they get things in order. What sold me was an interview online with the superintendent praising what Troon is doing for the course and how fantastic everything is!

Course is a great layout, but the greens were really, really bad. some of them just sand that you are putting on. Not worth $65. Will not play here again until they do something about their greens.

First time visiting foothills, coming from out of town. This place had high reviews. No warnings about the cow pasture greens, nothing on their website. Unplayable greens throughout the entire course. Will never be coming back or recommending anyone play here.

I saw the reviews after booking, but I left it since I cannot find anything else under $100 for the time I wanted. Glad they’re closing for a couple weeks to make repairs to the greens. good on them for making that tough decision. Would love to be back if the price remain the same after reopening.

Tee boxes and fairways were fine. The greens were destroyed. Half the rough areas you played on dirt. This course needs lots of work.

Greens terrible. Fairways marginal. In fairness to Foohills the water well got salt in it and caused considerable damage to the course. They are trying to to restore greens and fairways

The greens were redone in summer 2024, and was a complete failure. Not one green was playable, dead grass, bumps and gouges, bird poop, etc.

It’ll take at least 6 months before the greens are remotely playable. Check back in May 2025 to see if they’re ready yet, but I wouldn’t count on it.

It’s a shame, nice course, beautiful clubhouse and grounds. Just don’t waste your time playing golf there. I made a tee time 2 months ago and there was NO MENTION of the greens, complete misrepresentation to me, the customer.
