I’m a +1 handicap for reference - greens are so hard you can’t hold wedges from the fairway. I know they redid them in the last year, and they’re still at least 6 months away from being playable. Think I hit about 5 GIR because of this - GolfNow should really have a warning to golfers about this.

Wonderful course staff conditions pace of play. One issue is the permanent cart path rule on 18. No reason for it but easily adds an extra 10 minutes to the hole. Its not a safety issue because the 9th hole is virtually the same layout. 17 great holes then the ridiculous ruled 18th. Nobody seems to know why the rule is there except its always been like that.

Foothills is in great shape. Enjoyed my round of golf. Look forward to playing it againDavenp

Greens are not good. Rock hard like cart path. Number 1 and number 18 are CPO for no reason and results in slower than usual play time.

what clown decided the overwatering the fringes and keeping rock hard greens that won’t hold a wedge was a good idea? you sent setup links golf greens and take away the run up shot

ground under repair all over the course not market. the grounds super should jump off a cliff this guy is clueless

Course is in GREAT condition . Only complaint cut the rough on 18th hole. It is CPO and when looking for ball in tall rough holds up play behind you and having to walk back to the cart.

Too many tiers of player categories. Just include range balls with all green fees!?

The greens play more like cart path than grass. Everything else about the course is nice. But the greens make it borderline unplayable. If you don't really care about golf, then this won't matter much to you - go knock the ball around. But this will frustrate more advanced golfers.

This is now a very nice course to play. The value is great.

Very nice course in great shape. We played in just over 4 hours. I will definitely play there again.

First off want to say Troon has really improved this course from the last couple years of management. Greens are fully recovered with grass (which is huge if you’ve played here over the last couple years), fairways and rough are looking great too! They’ve even reseeded almost all the rough which it needed it. Now that being said I’ve played it twice since re opening and in that short time I’ve seen the areas that have already are starting to show problems…one is very few people fill divots on fairways( mostly bc cart path only and they lazily forget to bring sand bottles out to their approach shot with them) and par 3 tee boxes. They need to leave a bottle of sand on all the tee boxes but at least the par 3’s(maybe if multiple people mention this we can get this accomplished). The other issue I see is a “fairy ring fungus” that is more prevalent on the back nine, that needs to be addressed. Most people that I talk to don’t even know what it is but can be found through out the new grass. Hopefully everybody who reads this does their part and helps keep this course in great shape, its golfers duty too. If you haven’t tried Colin’s smash burger at the turn, he takes pride in his work and it’s better than most! Cheers

I live in the area and have played this course in the past . . The last couple of times I have played it , I swore I would never play it again . Today we gave it our last and final shot and to our surprise, it was amazing . A complete 360 from what it use to be . The course is stunning, the fairways and greens were nearly perfect . The traps need just a little more sand but they were still very playable . I can not believe what they have done with this course . Everyone in our group said they wanted to come back and play it again . Great job to the staff and owners , they did an absolutely amazing job . We will definitely come back and play .

Been an Ahwatuke Foothills Golf Club customer for a long time and it's always been a good competitive course but partnering with troon and came in and with the recent problems they had with the remodel last year and they had to shut down and do it all over again they've done a great job

Course is in good condition, the entire course is over seeded, no dormant Bermuda
