Great course layout
The greens are in terrible shape. The rest of the course is OK.
Fraud!!!
All the greens have a disease and are, for all intents and purposes, un-playable.
No warning given on GolfNow and no mention when we checked in at the pro shop and no apology when we were finished.
And to add injury to insult, they treated the greens with something blue that is now part of every player's golf shoes.
greens
worst greens i have seen in Phoenix , after my round imentionned that to the staff in the pro shop.
they don't care
greens are garbage
every single green is unplayable, waste of time trying to putt, was not warned when booked, fairways, teeboxes, and rough very inconsistent throughout course, will not be coming back, no wortht $5, let alone the $50 they are charging
Unplayable greens
The greens are not playable, they are painted green and look incredible from a distance but one step on you realize they are in horrible condition.
FOOTHILLS BKR
Your staff was very welcoming and the service was really nice.
The greens have some issues with the missing grass areas and sand used to cover bare spots. This made putting even more of a challenge for sure.
The overall course layout is very scenic and offers up the opportunity for a nice round of golf. If we come back to play we will inquire about the greens prior to making a tee time.
Greens are in terrible shape, almost un playable... we started to play winter rules (2 putt max) as it was that bad. Yet -- they charged full price! I would not go back there.
Greens were terrible
Should let Patron know about the greens before playing in
It's fine until you have to putt
good layout, value and people at Foothills..... problem is they lost their greens so not a fair test of golf as a lot of luck involved with rolling in putts at this time. Hopefully they get them back soon as I've always found the layout good .
Long Drive, Good Experience
My Buddy and I traveled to play The Foothills last Friday (12-13-24). The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Claire who ran the Restaurant when we were there. She is a definite plus as she made our 45 minutes waiting to play enjoyable. Nice to have young people willing to exchange ideas. She really made us feel that our business was important.
Greens are in poor condition.
Staff are excellent. Unfortunately course conditions are not good. Greens are virtually unplayable. Unfortunate as this was a course fun to play last year. Hope things improve.
Horrible greens
Cant believe there was no warning concerning unplayable greens. Especially in prime season.
Forget putting
If you feel green play is an important aspect of your experience, you will likely be disappointed in this course. If you like greens that are pocked, sandy, and do not roll well at all, then you will be fine. This course has had a lot of build up after closing for the summer to redo greens and tee boxes, so very confused that this Troon course reopened for play after such poor outcomes. They could shave fairway areas and have temporary greens that are better than what they offer. It’s sad.
The greens are in horrible condition. Would have been nice if Golfnow would have a disclaimer about the greens
We have played this course in the past and it was great. This round however was not great. The greens were in terrible condition. They put in new greens over the summer and they were ruined due to weather and water. Won’t play here again until next winter.
