Camelback Golf Club - Ambiente Course

I know it's only temporarily but the entire course was in horrible condition. I get that aeration is necessary but the course should notify GolfNow so people that book there should know what to expect

This course is more like an east coast golf course with a few cactus. Most of the course is flat and there are few elevation changes . The greens are super fast and the fairways are in good condition. The one negative is that many of the sand traps were lacking on sand.

Beautiful setting. Loved the layout. The starter forgot to tell us we needed a code to get into the washrooms on the course but other than that, the staff were friendly and helpful. I would go back but not at full price.

I played both courses at Camelback, Ambiante is better, but not way better. Don’t let the price scare you off, worth the money!

The staff was tremendous. The course conditions were excellent. The layout of the course was great. The greens were fast but rolled true.

Course is beautiful and in great shape! Very friendly staff and pace of play was excellent! Love to see golf ranger checking up on everyone like they do at this course to keep pace where it should be and tee times must not have been overbooked like a lot of courses do. Will definitely be back. Little pricey but not bad.

The staff both inside and out are extremely friendly and welcoming. The golf course is in great shape and the contoured fairways and greens make it very interesting. Expensive but it's high season.

Have been wanting to play this course for a long time after seeing it when playing Padre. Got a hot deal on golfnow to make it a reality.

The course is lush throughout. I think the teeboxes would putt better than some of the greens I've played on courses in the east valley lately.

Fun layout with challenging bunkers. Very undulated greens. Great views of camelback mountain and some monster homes on the course. Looking forward to the next time I get to play it.

Great track, play it all the time! They just spayed that day with fertilizer so it was a stinky round no pun intended!!

I booked this round without knowing much about the course. The price was around 200 usd for ambiente side. Good course layout, but the greens were not in the shape I would consider good value.

If I played this course again it would have to be at a reduced rate.

Staff was fantastic and a very bright spot on the day.

Not sure if the course was worth the money. Pro shop nice just not overly friendly. Course was in good shape. Finished right at dark and bar closed at dark.

The greens were fast and true. With the speed of the greens, hitting the proper approach shot was key to a low score. . Course was in great shape. There were a number of challenging holes, especially the 200+ Par 3s. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.

The course was in excellent condition. Greens pretty fast but rolled true. The only complaint was the slow group in front of us. Had to wait on most holes.

I really liked this course. If I could I'd give it a 4.5 star. Only con is the greens, which were in very nice condition were somewhat hard and rolled very quickly plus your ball didn't create much of a divot so when it hit the green it didn't stop and would roll off. Therefore play in front of green and have ball roll on. The course was in great condition. There were quite a few sand traps and very strategically located. For instance you would have a right and left sand bunker or left/right sand with opposite side being wasteland at about 230 yards making you have to hit the center of fairway on some holes. Most greens were narrow with right and left (and sometimes surrounding) sand bunkers. If you were off green right or left you would have to make a great sand (or ruff) shot or your ball would hit the green and roll off into the opposite bunker because the greens tended to be long and narrow. Did I mention that the sand bunkers aren't those flat, roll out of bunkers but the high majestic type that sometimes require a lob wedge instead of a sand wedge to overcome. Tough course but in a good way. Bring your A game. I normally shoot in the mid to high 80's but walked off this course hat in hand with a 99. I can't wait to play it again. Golf aside, the staff was very friendly, helpfull and courteous.

Have played this course a few times in the past few years. Was recommended to me by a Golf Writer.

This is an interesting "out and back" layout. Every hole is right in front of you, no hidden traps or gimmicks. Even with this being said, there are well placed bunkers and trouble making you think you way around the track. Greens are large and undulating. Position on the greens are key to scoring well.

I find myself booking this course each time we visit Scottsdale!
