TPC Scottsdale - The Stadium Course

I finally got the opportunity to play the TPC Stadium course at a reasonable rate. And it was worth every penny! What a great layout that is easy enough for an average golfer and challenging enough for a decent player. Course is in great shape for this time of year.

Greens were superb. Friendliest staff ever, made for an unforgettable experience.

I got a handicapped flag. but it did not do much good.. The cart path had curbs most of the way thru the greens. If you have problems with walking or respitory issues, be prepared to do a lot of walking around the greens and a few fairways were cart path only....all in all a good layout. If you are able, play it.

Played Stadium Course 6/20/2013 and the course is NOT in good condition. Burnt out spots everywhere yet wet and muddy in other places. Guy at the end who cleans your clubs told us "well it is in the middle of June and if you come back during prime months the course will be pristine". Well, EXCUSE ME, ball washer boy but I expect a better experience than this any time of year. That guy left a real bad taste in my mouth and I won't be coming back, ever.

$75 is way more than most other courses charge now that are in way better condition even in June. I played Whirlwind last week and it WAS pristine.

Just an FYI to not expect a lot right now. They are closing in 3 weeks for a month to work on the course. With so many courses to choose from in this area, this is not one I would play at this time.

One of my favorite courses... Greens were rolling smooth and true and they played very firm. The fairways were extremely wet I had 3 plugged lies in the center of the fairway which was surprising for summer in AZ. Staff was very dismissive. No one at the bag drop when we pulled up. I went in to the golf shop and there were 5 people behind the counter and not one of them said hello. (Which is usually not the case). Beverage cart girl didnt bother to yield to play on both occasions that we saw her. We were putting on the 4th green and she came up full speed with out giving any thought that she might be distracting play. (Only saw beverage cart 2 times in 18 holes on a slow Tuesday afternoon in 110 deg heat) water coolers every 3 holes was nice. No where near the level of service that I have grown to love and expect when I visit a TPC property.

The course was very nice and we all had fun until the Ranger told us to pick up the pace, we were on the same hole as the group ahead of us maybe 1/2 a hole behind. Two holes later he came and told us it was our final warning. At the time of the final warning we were going to the green of a hole and the group ahead of us were on the tee box of the next hole. The group was pretty upset. Let me explain that the group contained the head pro and an employee from our golf course and I am the head of the rangers and starters at the course. The pro played the course 3 over from the tips. I understand the rangers job but don't think it was handled well. Thanks Ralph

I really love playing the stadium course whenever I can, it is always in great shape and the staff are really friendly and helpful. I definitely will be playing again before the year is over.

Nice course, prompt service upon arrival. Water at every other hole. Good condition considering the Arizona heat.

I just love it. Not only this course has already a reputation of a PGA course hosting the Waste Management Phoenix Tournament, it has spectacular landscape. You can't go wrong with the Golf Now last minute offer on this course.

Always fun to play a course the pros play. Course was in good shape for the time of year.

excellent condition EXCEPT for the greens, hopefully aerating will bring them back. Value and rating would have been much higher with just a little more green on the greens.

Don't pass it up if you get the chance to play this course

This course was everything I expected and more! The beauty is pristine. The staff is great! Make sure you put your food away or the crows will get it.

The course was in good shape and well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the day. This is a must play while in Phoenix.

My brother and I went out early, 0650, and finished in just over 4 hours. We, and other 2 with us, set the pace. Was a great way to play.

Course was in great shape, greens were challenging and fast. But we had a super time and really enjoyed the experience. Would like to see the rates lower...there are many great courses in Scottsdale & this is one of them. But it was the most we paid for a round in 5 days of play. Great course & would play again...but not every time i go to Scottsdale.

Course in great condition. The greens were very firm and fast. Best condition I've seen the course in the last 4 yrs. The staff was great!!

Well worth the money to play this legendary course. It was in fantastic shape from tees to greens. We were paired with a member who informed us they will be shutting down for 6-8 months to redo much of the course (I couldn't see the need for it). Nevertheless, it was truly enjoyable, but keep the pace of play.

Friendly staff, course in pristine condition, the best course I have played in the Phoenix area. and I have played many great ones in Scottsdale, PV, Phoenix, Peoria etc, but this was the best. The foursome we had all felt the same way.

One of the best maintained courses that I have seen in the past few months. This course is more fun to play than the Stadium course.

We would never go back. I have played golf literally around the world and never had a worse experience. The staff did not monitor the course and we had a group behind us hitting into us for the entire back nine - balls hit well beyond where we were in the fairway at the time, and onto the green while we were still walking off. Full unacceptible.
