Designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf, The Stadium Course at TPC Scottsdale was purpose-built to host the PGA Tour's Phoenix Open, and it has done so since 1987. Designed with high drama in mind, the venue is well known as one of the most exciting and fan-friendly in all of golf, which includes a thrilling finishing stretch that begins with the risk-reward 15th hole. The course plays to over 7,200 yards from the tournament tees, but golfers who play the course during their Arizona golf vacation will find the layout has more forgiving fairways than many other area desert courses. The TPC experience includes one of the most encompassing practice areas in the destination, as well as grand clubhouse that includes the Toro Restaurant and Rum Bar. TPC Scottsdale is also home to the Champions Course, which plays out of a separate facility nearby.

TOURIST TRAP!

If you are local just skip it. We have much better courses in the valley with a better value. The good is that the staff is very friendly. That's it. Pace of play was 3 hours after 11 holes and nobody was playing on hole 16 and 15. No Marshall. The practice Green was in perfect shape and I was looking forward, but on the course you have to putt through a lot of pitch marks and tire tracks on the greens... Yes the greens were in bad shape and bumpy. The front nine is boring and the back nine is decent. TPC Stadium is by far the most over-rated course in the Valley area.

Stadium

I really enjoyed it and it is playable from the appropriate tees. Greens were receptive, but slopes on green toward water is for real. Very good condition. I will play this again. Thanks. Also EVERYONE was awesome and helpful and friendly. Nicely done!!!

Loved our round

Was so glad to get the chance to play the Stadium. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Was a little underwhelmed with #16. Think you need to see it with all the seating in place. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic track, but pricey!

The reputation of the TPC Stadium course speaks for itself. The course layout lulls your confidence as the first 10 holes are fair but very gettable . And then things get very tricky on the 11th hole onward. The gauntlet of holes 15 - 18 are fantastic! Paying $225 it’s the priciest round of golf in the Phoenix area, but you end of paying to play where the tour plays! Enjoyed a great Maker’s on the rocks in the bar after the round and recalled some great golf shots made during the round.

Bucket list round

I wanted to play the Stadium course after years of watching WM open. The course lived up to its billing. Even though being freshly aerated, the fairways were hard and fast and the greens we smooth, true, and lightning fast! The clubhouse and restaurant staff were top notch!
