Deer Island Country Club

It's a really good and difficult layout. The staff was friendly and attentive. The facilities were clean and well maintained. However, the greens and bunkers are sad. One green was completely unplayable, and another is about to be completely lost.

One of my favorite courses. Challenging layout that plays tough in the wind. Water in play on all 18 holes.

Course was win great shape. 2nd cut was tight but was in good shape. Couple greens were a little rough but most were good. Would play here again.

The overall course was in very good condition. The signature par 3 was under construction, so you'll have to hit to a short manufactured green, but you'll probably just skip it and write a 3 down on the scorecard. There was at least 1 green that was being recovered, and played like a 2 putt and go, but other than that the tee boxes, fairways, and greens were on point. This course is surrounded by water and there were plenty of gators out sunning. I live downtown Orlando, but it was definitely worth the drive!

It’s not like you’re going to a golf course when you go there it’s like you’re going to a friend’s place to play. Everybody so warm and inviting. Everybody there goes out of the way to make sure that you’re having a good day even if you’re not having one on the golf course!!😜

I know I’ll be playing there a lot more in the future because I love the track. I love the conditions and I love the staff.

We had a 3some and a 2some. There was NO ONE ELSE on the course so we played together. After 7 holes of seeing NO ONE ELSE on the course, some members showed up right behind us. The pro came out and told us to split up. Then the people behind us disappeared. You already don't have your tee sheet full. Is this the way you want to treat outside play?

Whenever I go to Deer Island things always seem to work out for the better!

I think the golf course speaks for itself. It’s a great test of Golf to any level of Golfer.

Beautiful course and far enough out of the way to lessen green fees. There is one damaged par 3 that was in the process of being repaired. An hour drive for me, but worth it.

A more professional attitude by the staff would help make the experience better. I play a lot at Zellwood G C. They average 120 rounds a day. Why. Because of the professional attitude there.
