Deer Island Country Club

We had a 3some and a 2some. There was NO ONE ELSE on the course so we played together. After 7 holes of seeing NO ONE ELSE on the course, some members showed up right behind us. The pro came out and told us to split up. Then the people behind us disappeared. You already don't have your tee sheet full. Is this the way you want to treat outside play?

Whenever I go to Deer Island things always seem to work out for the better!

From the moment you walk into the door to the moment you leave, I feel like part of the family!

I think the golf course speaks for itself. It’s a great test of Golf to any level of Golfer.

Beautiful course and far enough out of the way to lessen green fees. There is one damaged par 3 that was in the process of being repaired. An hour drive for me, but worth it.

A more professional attitude by the staff would help make the experience better. I play a lot at Zellwood G C. They average 120 rounds a day. Why. Because of the professional attitude there.

Overall the course was in good shape. One hole has a temporary green as they were building a new retaining wall on the par3. One green #5 is unplayable for damage on it. The greens are hard and have some different grasses starting to grow .Most tee boxes are

in good shape. They need more rain as all courses and this one are showing they are little dried out .

Not going to pay anyplace that much money for my g-friend to ride along !

For the most part, course is in great shape. A few greens are in tough shape but overall fantastic for the price.

Its a delight to golf on this course, how lucky the people are that live in Deer Island.

Played here several times over the last few years and always loved the layout and conditions. However, the greens are now getting rough, with a lot of weeds and some bare patches, Fairways are still great and most of the tee boxes good. Still a great course but I hope they don't give up on the greens!

The course really caught my eye when standing on the first tee. Although there is a lot of water, this can be avoided if you plot your way round. I thought the 3rd and 4th holes were beautiful and very scenic. There was an amazing number of birds all around the course. A haven for wildlife!

I love playing Deer Island GC. Not only is the course awesome but it's in a beautiful setting. The only reason I rated it overall as a 4 rather than a 5 is that a few of the greens aren't the best right now, most likely thanks to Mother nature as opposed to a lack of care. The young lady in the pro shop was super pleasant, as was the starter. Pace of play was fine, as usual at Deer Island. It's always a pleasure to play Deer Island, which I consider one of the best courses in the area. Looking forward to playing it again soon.

Course is not as nice as it once was. Overheard an employee say they have new owners and they are a little behind on maintenance. Surprisingly dry considering the amount of water on and around the course.

I’m sure they will get back to what they were given their reputation as a premier course.

All the staff were nice and helpful.

Challenging course in great shape. Water in play on all 18 holes. Plays tough in the wind. One of my favorite courses.

Loves everything about the course except the greens.
