About
Dayton Valley Golf Club is an Arnold Palmer Signature design that has been a PGA Tour Qualifier course since 1995, making it the longest standing site in the country. The course is surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Mountains and stretches across the valley below. The rolling, links-style layout features sculpted fairways and large, undulating greens. You may find yourself faced with a tough lie even after a good shot. It's a challenging test with plenty of water and strategically placed bunkers coming into play throughout. Careful shot placement is especially important on the water holes at Dayton Valley G.C. The most difficult hole on the golf course is the par-4 ninth. It's a lengthy dogleg left with water down along the entire left side of the fairway and short and right of the green. On your approach, hitting left of the green you'll find heavy rough or pot bunkers.

First round 23
After long winter months, got a chance to play. First round 23. Obviously a little rusty. Was a good day all around. Greens are fast. Fairways decent. Pace of play picked up about the 8th hole. Hole 12 still closed. Will be back.

1st round after a month
I enjoyed the ride to the golf course. Appreciated the Pro greeting me and giving me the layout quickly and sending me out a little early to make a foursome. The starter was a little crabby guess he didn’t like changes made by the Pro. Course was in good shape and greens were easy to read and just right. 12 was closed for remodeling. The made a short 65 yard par 3 on it to get all 18. I’ll go back.

Nice Course, but a Bit Wet
Definitely a nice course, especially for the price, but appears to have a few drainage issues. The ground was swampy in a few places and the 12th hole was closed completely for renovations. Some bunkers were muddy with standing water which was not a result of rain. Mostly it was a course in good shape with typical Palmer water, bunkers and moguls. Staff was very friendly. I'd play here again my next time in Reno

Great track for the money!
You honestly cant get a better course in the Reno/Carson area for the price. Its well maintained and a good layout. Greens roll smooth and not a lot of dead grass, which is tough for a desert course.
Bunkers could be a better sand but for 40 bucks you cant expect Agusta white bunkers.

Beautiful Day in Dayton!
With the hot days of summer upon us my expectations where not over the top , wow was I surprised at how great the greens and overall condition of the course was in! The staff are always friendly and welcoming and many food options in the bar/restaurant. Some fairways were a little troubled but that was the exception, avoid the bunkers not always well sanded but overall an interesting layout with challenging holes.
Definitely worth the drive and I will return , great golf value!

It’s Coming Back!
Dayton has always been one of my favorite local courses. While fairly expensive for regular play (like every other course in this area), it’s a fun and challenging track, And new ownership is obviously working hard to overcome the frugality of the prior owner.

Good Grass and Greens
Course was in excellent shape for this time of year. Greens rolled Fair and True. Staff is solid at Dayton . Always appreciate the Ice been for the Provided cooler on the cart. Good fun round
