About
Stallion Mountain Golf Club is conveniently situated just minutes from the Strip, but this Las Vegas golf course feels much further away thanks to a scenic landscape of towering, mature pines and six sparkling lakes. Over the years the course has hosted several major events including Frank Sinatra's Celebrity Classic and Las Vegas Invitational. It has a versatile layout that offers plenty of variety and shot values, which makes it appealing for a range of different skill levels. The par 4s and par 5s require long, accurate drives but the approach shots will test your iron game. The golf course also features undulating fairways lined with bunkers and water hazards come into play on 10 holes. In addition to the golf course, Stallion Mountain boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a 16-acre driving range with 40 tees, five practice putting greens, two chipping greens, and two practice bunkers.

Stallion Mountain
Played here all last summer,as I was easily able to get early weekday times.Course was under construction,making for a lot of free drops,and playing around workers.So after 6 mos I returned to what has been a major improvement.All new sand in traps,rough cut down much lower;.greens in real nice shape.Teed off at 730am;played alone,due to lack of players,and finished in two hours. Nice clubhouse,and practice facility.;also new golf carts.

Stallion Mtn
Played again this week after a year. Place is not what it used to be. Course is in rough shape especially the greens which could not hold lines due to their poor condition. Dead trees and brush along fairways, course infrastructure ie buildings, fencing etc really showing disrepair. No water in course water coolers Not sure what is happening to the course. Sure looks like a course that is hanging on by a thread.

Save your money
Course was super dry. Green grass was nearly non exisant Greens were bumpy and not in good shape.

If you don’t want to maintain the golf course close it.
The course is a horrible shape. They painted the greens that they look green. I have never seen that before. The fairways are not much better and partly painted as well. Some of tee boxes have no grass. On the driving range it is very difficult to find grass. I definitely can't recommend this course. If they don't want or can't maintain the golf course they should close it. Horrible experience!

Overpriced for condition of course
The weather was not great but independant of that, the course was dry and overpriced for the conditions. We were alone on the course which was a positive. The greens were ok. .

Coming along...
This course has come a long way over the past few years. It's far from where it should be, but I've noticed the work they are putting in and it's starting to be a nice course again. Keep up the good work and I will continue to play here and hopefully enjoy the improvements as they come.

Terrible
Such a nice layout. But conditions were beyond poor. Hard to find fairway grass. Greens were terrible.
Price should be 20 bucks. Canadian

Not in good shape
Play the course with friends every March Madness Weekend and the price has increased every year with the conditions of the course going down. Definitely not worth $149 out of town rate. We won’t be playing here next year.

Probably caught it on a bad day
Fairways were rock hard and greens were sandy. Lines of sand filled the greens. Probably played it on a bad day. Nothing some water cant fix.

Greens under repair and no notice
This biggest issue I had was the greens were all under repair and no notice was given, not even by staff when we checked in. We had a slow twosome in front of us, but that isn’t the course’s fault, but a Marshall could have encouraged the group not to hit two or three balls each on every swing. The fairways were okay; just okay. The rough was just unwatered grass. The sand traps were the. Eat feature of the course, with fine sand and not many rocks/pebbles at all. The tee boxes were in need of attention and the range could have used pins or markers for distances. The practice areas were spacious and would have been better had they not been under repair also. The course offered a variety of hole difficulties including short par 4s and one/two longer par threes and the par 5s were reachable in two. It’s just unfortunate the course wasn’t in better condition for what it has to offer. I would try it again just to see if the conditions get better, but as it was, not worth the $100+ greens fees

Stallion Mountain
The course layout, club house and staff were all very nice. The fairways were very dry, thin and spares on the front nine. Back nine fairways were in much better condition. Greens were quick and in decent condition somewhat bumpy but not too bad. Other than the thin fairway grass on the front nine. My biggest complaint was that they sanded the greens and left very large and thick strips of sand on the greens. They did not smooth out the sand at all. I have never seen this, and it was pretty bad to have the greens like this on a weekend.

loved playing here but they need some sort of fairway markers to let us know distances... even a rock at the 150 would be nice! maybe next time!
