The best greens and fairways I have seen for this price. I got a deal online for 35 then replayed for 18 bucks more. Range balls are included, cooler with a few bottled waters inside and a nice towel in cart. This is great.

I want to preface this review by saying I played a fantastic round of golf here so I will try and keep this review as subjective as possible. This was an amazing experience as I’ve never played a links style course, definitely not your typical Vegas desert course. My wife came with me as a rider and they only charged $11 which I thought was very reasonable considering the green fee. Unlimited range balls included with your fee which was nice and when I checked in the starter said if I kept my warmup relatively short he’d be able to send me out ahead of a threesome that was supposed to head out before me, so that was nice awareness by him.

Every inch of fairway on this course could’ve easily doubled as a putting green. The fairways were hard, fast and every lie on them was tight. I drove the ball extremely well and those fairways easily added 20-30 yards of roll to my tee shots. That being said, I can imagine if I hadn’t been so good off the tee it could’ve been a long day. Although the fairways were fairly generous, the fescue lining them was pretty penal which is how links courses are designed. There was a twosome in front of me that spent a good amount of time trying to find their balls in there with little to no success. This is a replica course of famous holes in The Open rota so each tee box marker indicates what hole it replicates and some facts about The Open Championship so I would say take a minute to read about each hole, it’s a cool feature. Big undulating greens and pot bunkers (some in the middle of the fairways) are hallmarks of this course. It was in excellent condition and I can’t say enough about my experience here. Highly recommended although again I say if I hadn’t played so well (77 from Gold Tees 6600 yards) this review might’ve been a little different lol.

Interesting layout and kind of cool, but that is basically where the positives ended for me. When we arrived it took a while to get through the gate. Seemed like no one was there working yet. Finally got in (around 7:40a for an 8:20a tee time) and seemed like they were scrambling to get things setup for the day. Couldn't go the the driving range until 8:05 because the guy in the pro shop hadn't gone over there yet to set it up. Grass was dormant so they spray painted most of the tees and fairways with green paint...which gets on your ball. I would assume this would be better in the summer time or even fall...who knows. Also, there was our twosome and another twosome there early...we saw no one else at 8am and they tried to put the 4 of us together! Even though there was no buddy else there...I asked if we could go separate and the guy told me he would have to go talk to someone about that. LOL We ended up teeing off separately anyway as we spoke with the other twosome and made our own decision. Also, I have been to Scotland twice and the only course I have played that was represented here was St. Andrews. I must say the two St. Andrews holes here were similar but had some distinct differences...assuming it is hard to make fairly exact copies of the holes. Good idea but no big payoff. In any event, glad I played it but would not go back.

After reading the reviews, I could not have been more disappointed. When the grass is dead and laying down and it is painted, you know you went to the wrong golf course.

Greens were horrible. It was like putting on a green made from plywood. The ball on any sort of slope would not stop rolling. Horrible. Went to a different golf course out of town and was blown away as to the great conditions. Go somewhere else

This course is always a favorite with my groups of friends. The only issue we have isnita so popular we have to snag a group time when we can. This is hands down of of the best courses in town. This is not my personal favorite but it is one of my top 5. This course is a must if you love a challenge, amazing amenities and stellar views and play all around!

Such a fun course. Staff was awesome. super friendly. Cant recommend this course enough.

The course which at one time was a jewel. Now on the other hand it just shows what the newer owners have plans for and it’s not golf. It’s going to join the lists of course closures here in Vegas and should be! Staff has moved on to other jobs and currently run by someone that knows nothing about the business. No Pro should tell you something up front.

At least Walter’s made it enjoyable. Don’t waste your money!

Everything about the course was pretty good. I guest I like playing a links course. The greens were faster than the Indy 500. I played with two local guys and everyone had a three put on most greens. The pace of play was slow. We waited on each Tee Box on the back nine holes and it took 4 1/2 hours to complete the round. I would play the course again.

Rode the Golds (6602/72.0/132) for 36 holes with USCDodger32, Mrkich and two of their buddies that traded off for 18 each. AM Round 4H,15M, PM round 4H,35M. Chilly when we started but quickly warmed up and was a great day for golf in the 70's, sunny and calm. We used 4some vouchers obtained through GKPlays. Really liked the layout, links style with no water. All 18 holes are "tribute" holes to famous British Open holes. Similar, in the ball park but not meant to be exact replicas. The layout is tight in spots with deep native grass that is an almost sure lost ball around most holes. Tees were furry. Okay for divots and reasonably level, they were maintained at a level comparable with the first cut of rough on many courses. Fairways were dormant Bermuda sprayed green. They played well, almost always had a decent lie in the fairways with a good cushion underneath. Rough was dormant Bermuda not overly high but fairly thick. Much more hit and miss, could be a nice lie sitting up or a just advance a shot iron shot. The sand was very good. Nicely maintained, every trap I was in both the quality and quantity of sand was well above average bordering on excellent. I think we all experienced at least one "pot" bunker where we had to play sideways to safely get out of. AM, greens were medium slow and reasonably smooth. PM, greens were medium fast and getting bumpy. Firm, you made dents, not really ball marks. Numerous pin placements were good luck stopping anything close to the pin from the wrong direction, especially in the afternoon. Cart gal out and about numerous times. Extremely friendly and informative pro shop staff, starter and Marshall. Awesome club house modeled after a Medieval Castle. Nice restaurant, we grabbed lunch on the run between 18's, very good! Very good course that I would upgrade to a must play in the Vegas area if you are a fan of links golf in general and British Open venues in particular. Very fun course to play, definitely recommended.

This course has seen better days, the fairways are painted on the dried out grass and the course has many areas under repair. The staff also was exceptionally unfriendly which is pretty unusual for a golf course staff.

Course was in great shape. The greens were lightning but you could still hold the greens.

I've played in Scottland but its hard to picture the holes out of context, but this was a great course none the less. On our must play list next time we're in town. Nice layout, excellent greens. Don't usually review courses but took the time to leave an honest review so other can enjoy. I also like Revere Lexington and to a lesser extent Revere Concord.

Expected a gimmicky imitation of links courses (after all it is Vegas ), instead got to play a great course. Keep it in the fairway and out of those pot bunkers!

First off, the service was first rate. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and wish all courses had service like this. But beyond that, not impressed. When I pushed the button for the front gate to open, I was greeted with "please proceed to the castle". OK! The inside of the castle contains some interesting golf history, and the history of each replica hole from one of The Open courses is interesting. But the conditioning is only slightly above average, and seems the course is somewhat neglected. The first fairway was flooded out and had a big hole in the middle of it from a pipe break. I don't think Russian Thistle is abundant on most Open Courses and some tee boxes were in need of desperate work. The 3rd tee was almost entirely dirt. Greens were in good shape, and tended to run fast. Personally, think there are a lot of other courses in Vegas area that are better value than Royal Links.

The course has pot bunkers however the sand in them are inconsistent plus players don’t take them as the rake is attached to the cart and there are plenty of places the carts can’t go hence no one takes the bunkers. Also course bunkers are difficult and add to the slowness of play. Didn’t see a marshal all round 5 1/2 hours waited in almost all the holes. The course layout is challenging however not rushing back
