Fun course
I very much enjoyed my round at Royal Links. It was very challenging especially with the stiff wind blowing in my face on what seem like a majority of the holes. The Road hole number 10 was brutal 422 yards into the wind. I hit two solid shots but could not reach it 2. The greens are very tightly grained. The pot bunkers pretty much impossible to get out of it if you’re up against a 10 foot face. I would love to play this course again if I could get a reasonable rate.
Worst Experienced Ever
So horrible, course condition was really bad, bunkers barely with some sand in them WORSE yet we paid $80(residents rates)tourist probably a lot more. It took us over 5hrs to finish the round thanks to a fourTiger Wood wannna be. They tee off at 8:35am, our ttime at 9:25am and we caught up with them on hole number 9(we wasn’t playing that fast either) then got stuck behind them ever since, waited on every holes and they didn’t care( there was no marshal at all, trying to called the club house then get a list of voice messages and nobody picked up the phone???). What a wasted of time and money. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY, a lot of nice course here in Vegas and a lot cheaper too.
Royal Links Vegas
Excellent course, a must play if your in Vegas. Enjoyed the replica holes and info about the history of each. Greens were fast and true, staff was excellent, not a whole lot not to love.
Great Track
Played March 12th - staff was very friendly and the course was outstanding. Greens were pure and very quick. Course was firm and fast like you’d expect from a Links style course. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Vegas.
Gone WAY Downhill!
I've golfed Royal links 6 times, (last time was 2 years ago) and it was always a well maintained fun course. Unfortunatly this last time (3/9/18) I was very disappointed, It is almost in disrepair now and very run down. From the bunkers to the greens and so on. Very rough! The golf cart had a bumper falling half off that the guy just said don't worry about it as he kicked it back on. I Had to wait over 10 min just to get a yardage book when I was the only one at the pro shop, and at the turn had to wait another 12 minutes just for a hot dog. This backed things up even more than it already was. They didn't even sell any alcohal to help make the round better. The driving range doesn't have a water bucket or even a club cleaner. I played it on a hot deal so the $80.00 wasn't as painful, but still not a fair price.
avoid
poor shape. ridiculous greens. no liquor licence. Not informed until arrival no liquor licence.
No alcohol
It’s a non alcohol course wish I would have known that at booking.Other than that course was fine, although it did seem a bit rough around and un kept
Enjoyable round
Great course. Played right after a college tournament so we were delayed a little, but once off it was a great day. All the holes were interesting, greens were smooth and fast.
Absolutely loved this
My husband and I played here while in Vegas. Course was in great condition, staff and service were excellent. We highly recommend this and will do it again.
Royal links
Greens were really great. Love them! The fairways were horrible. Not just Bermuda over wintering , but in general poor condition. The course just changed management so there was no liquor license. Still, love the challenge - it’s hard for a 13 handicap playing the middle tees.
Enjoyable course
Had a morning January start time. Beautiful morning. Course was great but they had lost their liquor license......in Vegas. Really? Other than that, fun time. Shot 84
Very disappointing
This was possibly the most disappointing course I’ve ever played. The clubhouse was nice and I liked the theme but playing on spraypainted fairways and greens is just not any fun. It was impossible to hold the greens or get any spin from the fairways. I would not recommend this course and will not play it again unless they water. It was probably great at one point in time but is not playable currently.
Pot Bunkers
I stayed out of them. Made for a good round. Will go back some day when they get their liquor license. People in the clubhouse and starters were very friendly and helpful.
Best Las Vegas Course
Royal Links is a must play course. Staff is friendly, course is challenging but you feel as if you are playing history here. To top it off I made par on 18.
Felt like I was in the British Open
Great course, challenging and fun. Highly recommend a round of golf there if you are in Vegas.
Overall experience
This is more than a golf course. It’s an experience. Spend time in the old world club house. Imagine what it would be like play under pressure of a major golf tournament. I caught it on a day in which the greens were really fast. I found myself having to putt defensively.
