Hot but fun
Course was in very good shape. Greens were hard, fast and difficult to putt. Enjoyable round of golf. Be aware of hidden fairway bunkers. Perfect drive on 9 to find the ball in a pot bunker, dead against the wall of the bunker. Get a course book!
Royal Links Golf Club
Im from the east coast in LI NY. Was on vacation in the Vegas area. Saw Royal Links Golf Club was rated very high. Decided to play this course with my wife. The greens are very different speeds on each hole. Which I don't care for. Course is wide open and no water holes. Wish I had more time to play more rounds in Vegas. Play early because it's gets mid day.
Course he had it glory.
The. Course has had it's glory days, needs some TLC.
Decent little course. Definitely not worth $130...
I don't have much to say. It's a decent little course for $50. A waste of money for any more. Folks were pretty friendly. The only frustration I had was that they let a fivesome (plus a teemate) out in front of us with a caddie. You would think that the Caddie would maintain pace. They teed off 30 minutes before us and we caught them on the 4th hole. After sitting with them on the Teebox on back to back holes with nobody in front of them I figured we would get the invite to play through, but we did not, so we asked them if we could skip a hole and jump in front of them. I am used to golfers lacking ediquite, but I would have expected more since they had a caddie from the course.
unique features given it replicates 18 famous links holes.
course fun & very challenging- wish the club house had forewarned about sanding on some of the greens
The green were in green shape.
Maybe I was expecting more, because I've been to Scotland to play golf. It's a neat concept if you have never been. Bring your laser or GPS because it's not on your cart. Also if you think you in a bunker bring the rake from the cart, it will save you a bunch of steps. I played it early in the afternoon and I would say there was maybe 20 groups out in total. I played as a single and was done in 3 hours because groups let me by.
Excellent Course will play again
This course was in excellent condition, fairways and greens were perfect . I was in Vegas for a conference and so glad I was able to get away and play a round. There are serious bunkers strategically placed and I promise will add at least 2 strokes per hole. If I had one complaint was the bunkers were more dirt then sand which was surprising since the course is in the desert.
Special Course
Was not a huge fan of links golf but this changed my feelings. Loved playing it and if I had more time, would have played again.
Hard course. Be careful weekend duffers but the over all experience was neat
Great time.
Typical Pete Dye layout. Lots of hidden pot bunkers. Moguls galore. Course staff was very friendly and courteous. Course layout is replicated from holes at courses played by "The Open Championship".
Royal Links in Las Vegas
Very pleased with the coarse and staff. Liked the castle type clubhouse to the little stories on each hole. The call ahead for food at #9 in an English style phone booth was a nice touch. Course is not that long but can see how on windy days it would add to the difficulty. Enjoyed it very much. Surprised it was not busier as the weather was great.
Wasn't that Scottish
It was a friendly club and the day we were there it wasn't crowded. I had higher expectations as a replica of Scotland Courses. Seemed very ordinary. However. It was in good shape. And we enjoyed our play. Very very windy that day so may be more like Scotland! We like to try different courses when we visit Vegas
Must play
Outstanding golf experience, true links golf with superb conditions. Put this course on the bucket list when you come to Las Vegas
Great course.
The staff were amazing, the course and greens were emaculate. Great job Royal Links.
Wonderful experience
Amazing facility. 18 holes of replicated Open Championship courses. Each tee box has a plague with the hole that was copied and a history bit. The bag drop guys and starter were extremely friendly and polite. Tees. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Stay out of bunkers as they are very deep and unfortunately being in a desert environment there is very little sand in them. Some bunkers were muddy, (especially the postage stamp hole, left side of green) this is only reason for 4 stars on course condition. Highly recommend playing!
Not even close to with the money
Not worth the money even with a golf now hot deal. It's a $30 course at best. The greens were poor. Course was really dry. Play Spanish Trail, the Piutte courses or most any other course before you play this one.
Interesting layout
Links style. Wind made for a challenging day of golf. Greens were average. Our round was a special at 60.00 a round. Would not pay any more then that. Staff was excellent. All in all had a good day.
How dare they let a 5 sum, part mate, caddie go out a head of you.7 people involved, caddie must be the bad guy?
