Great Job Royal Links GC
many guests complaining on pace of play and treating the staff with disrespect and anger I must say the staff at Royal Links definitely knows how to handle their guests. Personally I think people have too much entitlement these days and use complaining as a way to get things free. Yet Royal Ljnks staff treated everyone like royalty even after they were cussed out. The pace was slow but when things aren’t perfect you make the best out of it. I made a business deal with a player on the group behind me. Had it not been slow and we had not talked the deal would have never happened. Take the good with the bad people. The staff definitely did all they could I saw the marshal all day. Good job Royal Links and keep it up! I will be back!!!
Great staff
Greens were perfect and really fast. Some hidden bunkers that might add some shots to card. In general had great round. Cart person and bar staff were super.
Fun course
The course is very fun. Greens are fast and challenging, bunkers and fairway was in great shape. The pace of play was not managed well the day I was there. All staff members were pleasant and accommodating.
Pace of Play
Very disappointed in the pace of play! Tee time 11:50 finished at 5:05. Never saw a course Marshall - the group ahead of us was at least 2 holes behind the group ahead of them by the 7th hole.
Played Bali Hai the day before. The staff at BH had twice the customer service as Royal Links. The starter at RL thought very high of himself. The bar tender at RL was wonderful!
How fun!
What a fun layout and a beautiful place. Solid challenging course in decent shape. The staff is excellent, they really make you feel at home and work hard to make your day.
Nice, but dated
Nice course that needs some updating and water. Nothing spectacular except for the hotdogs.
Fun Course in Vegas
Tee'd off early and played as quick as we wanted...Chose Royal Links over other courses since they do not overseed toward the end of summer. Right decision as the course was in great shape for the Vegas heat. Played here about 5 or 6 years ago and forgot the numerous amount of unseen bunkers that can add a few strokes to your round...with that said, got a yardage book first time I played it, but unsure if they even offered them this time. Not overly difficult, open for the links style of the course, and don't have to contend with British weather...Friendly staff, extremely reasonable drinks and a delicious spicy Bloody Mary.
nice idea
as a brit ive played every hole in real life,
the links is in good condition all thought the greens could be a bit shorter(slow by british standards) and the bunkers need an even amount of sand in each of them.
the need to have a yardage chart too.
grea value for a vegas course when you get it on a hot deal on golf now
although all the hole look like open holes it still playes as an american style target golf course(dont expect to hit a 100 yard bump and run)
Interesting Course
Sounds like gimmick with british open holes, but does not come across that way as the course is in "american" condition. including really tough bermuda rough. I really think they need to add something to carts for layout. If you never played here, many blind shots and had no idea where to go.
Fun links course
Played on a typical 110 degree summer day on a golfnow hot deal. Course was great but bring water, cold towel etc. My group has def played in vegas summers before, but this round on this course was a battle. I think it was due to the links layout with zero shade (no trees) and no water. Just constant in sun made it tougher than other courses in July in Vegas. Would definitely play again here.
Cool course on a scorching hot day
Really enjoyed this course, conditions were great and the layout was unique. I played as a single, second one off the tee at dawn, and played 18 in 2 hours and 20 minutes, perfection, beat the 115 degrees it would become that day. Staff was very friendly, liked the homage to so many great Open courses. Definitely recommend.
Maybe look like the British Open but not the weather! lol
I have wanted to play this course for years, but never got a chance. I finally decided no matter what I am playing it this trip. It may be a little biased becasue I scored the best I ever have. The greens were in perfect shape, very challenging and fast. The entire course was green and perfect condition of all the grass. I played the tees that measured 6600 yards and that was perfect for me. The tips are more like 7000 but that is little long for me. With 108 bunkers even a perfect tee shot isn't a guarantee. I had one double bogey on my round and it was on the hole that I landed in a deep bunker. I only hit one bunker all day, but my playing partners hit a few and never got out in one shot. I could see many people saying the course was easy becasue if you stay on the fairway and miss bunkers it is. If you don't then it is a bear of a course. I absolutely loved the course. The people were great. Only two critical points it took almost 4 hours 40 minutes to play and the second carts aren't allowed in the parking lot. This is my new favorite course!

A great course that is challenging to all skill levels
I have always wanted to play Royal Links. The idea of a links style course in the middle of Las Vegas always interested me, even further, a replication of Open rotation courses was even more. My son and I had the chance to play on June 20th and a great GN tee time helped further the cause. We arrived and were promptly met by Harvey at the bag drop. Harvey was the man. It was about 116 degrees at the time but we are pretty die-hard golfers so we were very appreciative of Harvey’s attention to us. I mean he really didn’t have to be there as we surveyed the parking lot and observed maybe a total of 10 vehicles (including ours). Got to the pro shop and the staff were incredibly friendly. Once again, we were the only 2 teeing off at 1 PM the next golfer, about 3 PM (which was a single). We got off the first tee promptly at 1 PM. Obviously the course was wide open, so I can’t speak intelligently to any wait time incurred by slow play. I will have to play it again during a peak time to provide a review of that aspect. The course was beautifully maintained. Great lies in the fairways, fluffy sand in the bunkers (108 of them!). The course was challenging but fair. All skill level golfers will be challenged. The “road hole” was amazing, as well as “postage stamp” (my 2 favorite holes). Overall a great experience at a great course.
A must play in Vegas
Course was great for any level of player and the layout is awesome,Staff was friendly and courteous
Should have took a caddie
