Fun course
Its too expensive for locals to play most of the time. I got a deal is the only reason I played. Fun course, but they just punched and sanded the greens so that was a bit to get used to. That's why the deal I guess. I would go back if I got another deal, but not at the normal cost.
Unique
Having played most of the original golf courses that Royal Links replicates, the design is accurate, especially, the rough. Enjoyable!
Good British Open Replica Course
Great Vegas value and a course I will play each time I visit Vegas. The pot hole bunkers are deep and play to what you see in the British Open!
Great
Everything esa great except the bunkers. There are some deep bunkers like the ones in the UK except the sand in this ones is very hard making it hard to get out. Besides the lack of good sand the bunkers are a nice challenge
A Unique Experience
In the midst of abundant choices of desert courses, Royal Links offers a challenging alternative. Four tee boxes at each hole provide the appropriate challenge no matter your handicap. I played the course in three hours as a single. The staff is exceptionally friendly.
Links course
Great course, deep bunkers, Thick rough and if you hit ball into the tall grass, trouble finding it and if you do good luck hitting out of the junk.
Course is tough but if you stay close to the fairway you can post a good score.
Loved the Track
I really liked the course. I played with two high handicappers (+20), they did not care for the course. The one guy said - "the only reason I would go back is to find all the golf balls I lost." I think he lost 6 balls in the tall grass - but he was erratic off the tee. I am currently a 5.4 index that is capable of shooting +15 on any given day. I loved the course and will definitely play there each time I travel to Vegas. I shot +9 - first time I played it. Play the correct tees and you'll find the course is very fair. I'll be back - I loved the course!
Royal Links
Nice course fun to play holes that mimic open courses.
Great experience!
Royal Links is a great experience. Booked tee time through Golf Now and had no problems getting on at 7:00 a.m as a single. Got paired up with another first-time single. Played in about 3 hours. Course was in great condition. Greens were punched about 3 weeks ago and the practice green was the worse one. All others were rolling great. Staff and service were outstanding. Even valet parked my car at the bag drop. Enjoyed the hole descriptions at each tee box.
Royal Links is a great course.
Course is in excellent condition. The staff was very friendly and the food and drinks were great. Keep your ball out of the long stuff and don't waste your time trying to hit out of it. We hit 3 balls in and found them and tried to play out and no one was successful. The starter mentioned to us about not trying to go pin seeking, that the greens would not hold the balls, but we found that the greens accepted shots much like any other US course. It was a fun round and I would go back.
Royal Links is royal disaster
We were not told that the greens has recently been aerated and as a visit payinging $90 green fees, this was nothing more than playing on some local club that is more hype than anything.
Pace of play was absolutely terrible and was backed up the entire day. I can get that at home.
We has to ask to get a ranger out on the course to push players
After playing cascata and Paiute the days before, this is a total let down and would never recommend it
Course not in great condition
A Royal Disappointment at Royal Links
My group was very disappointed to see that the greens today had been aerated a few weeks ago and we were not told this when making the reservation, The greens were in terrible condition and had we known, would not have played this course. Also, the pace of play was poor with several groups holding up play, but not course rangers to push them along. The course has a nice layout and otherwise is a reasonable, but not another a special course to okay while vacationing in Las Vegas.
Royal rip off
The course was in great shape with only about 6 or 7 groups out on course so we could have played quickly if we wanted but took time and enjoyed the track. The starter and other attendants were awesome with some helpful hints to getting around painlessly. My only complaint was the pro shop. I shopped around and paid $69 per person at 1130am. 20- 50$ cheaper than other "deals". They tried to charge $75 bucks for rental clubs. RIDICULOUS . I could have traveled my own there for cheaper. The guy working looked at my price and said I got a good deal so there was no discount on clubs. I huffed and puffed a bit and they dropped it to "the rack rate". I thought standard rate was the rack rate. So I advise u to get quote ahead for club rental or just bring your own. They were nice callaways at least. Course was awesome and a lot of fun. Watch out for pot bunkers
We love this course!
We play Royal Links on every Las Vegas trip, and this trip we'll play it on the first day and on the last day. Knowing the history of each hole is fun (each is patterned after a significant hole in the British Isles: Royal Troon, Prestwick, St. Andrews, Muirfield, etc.). the 2nd nine starts off with the famous "Road Hole" of St Andrews!
This is a well maintained challenging golf course, with a great restaurant for a little relaxation after your round. The entire staff: from the groundskeepers to the starters to the pro shop employees to the restaurant staff, are fabulous!!
Vegas trip
What a great course and layout....Beat the "Bear's Best" I played the day before! The Road Hole was so cool too...Just need to add the buildings to make it like being in Scotland.
Had a great time...
I got off the first tee at 0530hrs and played by myself in 2.5 hrs with a cart. The staff was very friendly and course was in great shape. A few of the greens were plugged a couple weeks ago but rolled fine. I played the Gold tees which is around 6600 yards. It was very cool to see the history behind the holes and being able to play replicas of the great holes from the Open Championship here in the states. Will return on my next trip to Las Vegas.
This course was different
It was different but it was also different than website. There was nobody there so I played quickly. I got a good rate for it but there was no replay rate. It was cool just don't get in those Scottish bunkers. Road hole was cool. Greens had been punched recently.
A Must Play
I absolutley love this course. As soon as you drive up to the gate and are buzzed in you feel something special. Staff was awesome from outside guys to pro shop and Bar staff. It was fun playing this style of golf and playing some of the great holes of the British Open. Course was in excellent shape even tho they punched the greens a week ago they were still puttable. Very challenging with bunkers just about everywhere, some can be seen some can't. Looking forward to another golf trip to Vegas and this will definitely be a course I will play again. Thanks Royal Links for an awesome day of golf.
Phenomenal
Me and 2 buddies played here a few days ago and had a blast. We were treated like kings by the staff from the bag drop till the time we left. We basically had the course to ourselves, even with a 9am tee time. The greens had been recently punched, but still rolled fast and true. The layout is amazing and the British Open feel is believable and replicated extremely accurately despite being in the LV desert. I have played here before, but I really believe it gets better everytime I play here, and that's the sign of a truly great course in my opinion. Go see Nacho at the bar, his customer service is second to none.
Overpriced
Relatively boring course. There are much better courses in Las Vegas.
