Great Round of Golf
When we arrived we were treated like we were the only ones there. Felt very welcomed by the staff. Very smooth checking in and everyone was very friendly. Golf course is in great shape and greens were nice and soft. Have already told several others about the course even the next day playing at another course. Thank you to the staff for a great round of golf.
Fun track to Play!!
Great track!! Exciting to play holes from The Open!! Great condition and goid value!!
Good late afternoon fun
Excellent late afternoon outing. My wife am I played alone w/o anyone around. Enjoyed the different holes tremendously. Played easily in 3.5 hrs.
Don't play on Windy Days
Great course but it was very windy and gusty,
This course is challenging and with wind gusts of 30-40 MPH (for me anyway) it was a bear! Enjoyed the challenge but would like to replay on a calm day.
LOVE the history
I had no idea I would learn so much about golf history when I came to play Royal Links. The info they tell you about each of those infamous holes was extremely interesting! Other than feeling like the sand was magnetizing my ball, I had a very enjoyable round of golf.
Had a blast at Royal Links
Took my father-in-law here; he heard about in on the Golf Channel and wanted to give it a shot. The British style of play is definitely a unique experience, and one every golfer should have. The undulating fairways are great, and the greens are large and feel very natural. The pot bunkers and fescue pose a challenge, but that's just part of the fun!
A Trip To Scotland
If you want to play in Scotland but don't wish to incur the cost Royal Links is must play in Vegas. When the front gate swings open and you drive up the cobblestone road to the castle clubhouse you are truly somewhere special. They do not disappoint either. The staff was as good as it gets and are all about having a great time. It is a unique course as any level player can enjoy the magnificent walk through golf history. Pete Dye designed this course and it is truly some of his best work. You are also elevated with wonderful views of the strip and old downtown and the holes are isolated from one another so you get the feeling of having the course to yourself. The course itself is in fantastic condition and the greens are immaculate. No golf trip to Vegas is complete without a stop at "The Links "
A Fantastic Track - Great Value, Great Experience!
From the service received to the aesthetics and playability of the course, everything was top-notch! I truly loved the uniqueness of the course and it's charm. This is definitely a must-play when considering which tracks to play in Las Vegas! 10 stars from the BigBadGolfer!
Royal Links
Interesting links style course in the NE corner of the city with each hole designed to mirror famous holes at Troon, St. Andrew's, etc. The staff were great and friendly. The wind was howling 35-45 mph the whole afternoon so it made for a challenging game. I will return again on a less windy day to give it another shot.
SUPER fun course and facility
This was a really great course. We have only been playing a year, and have played a dozen courses, but this is our favorite so far. The club house is really fun, the staff is very friendly, and the overall experience was great. You get a booklet that gives the history of each of the simulated holes. There is ice water on every 3rd hole. The staff comes around at one point with scented frozen towels. There was a staff member on the tee at the "Postage Stamp" par three. He offered a bet if we could hit and stick the green. It was bet at least $100. If you win, the club doubles your bet for gear in the golf shop. If you lose, you have to spend as much as you bet in the golf shop. Super fun. I ended up in the 6 foot deep bunker, but got out in two, and felt like I got an Eagle with that accomplishment. :)
A great challenge
Course was great again. Third time for me, first time for my brother. We enjoyed the experience. I would go again.
Course staff was very nice and courteous.
We were looking for a change and thought we would try a unique course. Fairway conditions are spotty at best. Greens were very good and rolled great.
Do not waste yout time
For the price, a waste of time and money there are far better golf experience for less in Las Vegas. If you want to play higher end play Bears Best or TPC. The fairways are kept brown, I am assuming to replicate British Open golf. I have played 3 of the courses that are supposed to be represented here, it is nowhere close to a true representation. This is not British Open golf!!! Nothing more to say I hope my expense saves others their time and money
Nothing royal here.
Overall not a good experience.
For the green fees you would expect immaculate conditions. Great staff, and service? not here. Over priced, understaffed (saw cart girl 1 time in 4.5 hours), horrible conditions on course. Soaked greens, or dead greens, no fairways, everthing was dead and brown. You can not see where fairway starts and rough begins.
Driving range in horrible condition as well, with obnoxious music playing.
Clubhouse and bar smelt of sewage, or musky water smell.
Staff at desk was unhelpful and seemed irritated when i asked about condition of course.
I will never recommend anyone i know to play here unless i wanted them to waste time and money.
I play 2-3 time a week in vegas, and i have yet to see a course this bad. And when you are charging over 100 per green fee, that is unacceptable.
A taste of the British Open
OK, the climate and terrain of Las Vegas aren't exactly Scotland and England, but Royal Links does a pretty fair job nonetheless of recreating many of the great holes of the British Open rota. The Old Course holes aren't bad, but I particularly like the Postage Stamp home from Royal Troon. Course is usually in great condition, too, and you certainly get a feel for playing the shot on the ground like you do across the pond.
Easy course but pricey
Played an early morning round and shot a 86. Relatively easy with bunkers away from your line of shot. Pricey compared to solar courses in Palm Springs.
UK Golf Karma
Played here after many years, still a very nicely laid out tract. Good mixture of golf holes, and nice ending to both nines----both medium length par fives.. Not real long from the middle tees, but challenging at the same time... Walters Golf does an excellent job marketing their courses.... Great set of Callaway golf clubs (rentals).... I'll be back for sure.....
Great links course
Great links course in the desert. Inspired by famous holes of the British Open. A wonderful treat. A bit of Scotland in Las Vegas.
