The Club at Sunrise

For those of you that remember this course back in the bad old days. It has changed for the better. They’ve cleaned it up. Nice clubhouse, and the course conditions are great. You can’t beat the price and the staff is always great.

Everything is slanted towards a canal. Lost a lot of balls.

The course was in great shape - very green! Greens were in perfect shape and were rolling fast. Bunkers had plenty of sand and no rocks! This course is a great value for the money. Just make sure you try and stay out of the ditch!

This is an interesting little Golf Course anyone reviewing it mentions the drainage down the middle there is no doubt it forces you to hit left but the greens were in good shape. The bunkers were OK. Fairways were fine. Back nine is a little short, but a lot of fun to play the members and staff were awesome.

Not for the new golfer. Fast greens. Well maintained.

Reasonably price course in the Vegas area. Excellent conditions by course supt - hardly saw any ball marks on the greens. Friendly and helpful staff.

Careful - It's true what they say - Don't Go Right!

The other reviews were accurate - the slopes down to the waterways ate a lot of balls. I only lost one but saw a dozen golfers searching for balls over the 8 holes I completed.

It seems like the course was full of novice golfers, adding to the slow play. I gave up after 8 holes since I didn't want to face a 5-hour round. The fairways were decent and the greens were in good shape so it's too bad that the other factors outweighed them.

Staff was great and very friendly. Starter actually brought over range balls to me.

This said, this course was not my favorite. There is a drainage ditch, with a severe drop angle, along the right side of 16 of the 18 holes, and the other two have a lake on the right side. Therefore, if you are someone who fades the ball, good luck!

“Stay left”, said the starter. I had no idea what he was talking about. Turf and greens are in decent shape. DO NOT hit off the gravel unless your clubs are disposable. The clubhouse bar was closing at 4:00, but got us a beer before she left.

The course is laid out following a drainage ditch, with elevated fairways and greens this becomes a problem for every ball that lands or rolls off the right side. Because the slopes were cut so short the ball never stops if it rolls out to the right and you end up next to the concrete ditch or you watch your ball wash away with the current. What would normally be a very acceptable second shot from the rough is now a lost ball or a blind shot from the bottom of the hill.
