The Barony Course at Port Royal Golf Club constitutes 18 of this well-known island facility's 54 holes.

Playing to just 6,543 yards from the gold tees, Barony is a very enjoyable course for all skill levels. The back nine in particular is a fine mix of long and short holes. Like its sister courses at Port Royal, Barony begins and ends at the club's beautiful Antebellum-style clubhouse.

From the tee, many of the holes on Barony appear to be relatively open. But as you approach the green the real challenge of the course becomes clear. The greens are small and protected by deep bunkers and Bermuda rough, demanding an excellent touch with the medium and short irons. This is a course where accuracy, not length is the key factor.

Super fair course

Was in very good condition even though the greens had been plugged a few weeks ago. Good landing spots on most fairways. Smaller greens but the bunkers were easy to get out of. Fun round and we played early afternoon in 3 1/2 hours for a twosome.

When i booked on tee off it said it was the earliest time and was only one tee time at 1pm.

This was not the case. no one on the course from 12:30 to 1 but me.
