Oyster Reef Golf Course

Great course. Friendly staff. Awesome clubhouse and Tavern.

When we played the greens were in rough shape and extremely fast

We were out for a walk around the plantation, stopped in to get a drink. The bar wasn’t open yet so we stopped the cart lady to grab a couple. Cindy is the best. She was getting ready to head out, but stopped to give us what we needed. She also stopped back 15 minutes later to see if we needed another round - which we did. She’s awesome!

Course was great but we were sold a tee time which was too late to comfortably finish course.. we were sold a 2:52 teetime and sundown was 6:48. At the turn we were offered a 9 hole certificate to use another time, but we had no other time as we were from out of town. We had 1 hour and 30 minutes. We did finish but it was not a comfortable pace round.

We had to wait about 45 minutes for a carts to free up for our 12:25 round which put us starting

at least 30 minutes after our tee time! Then the ranger scolded us about halfway through our first

nine that we were playing 8 minutes off pace!

The course was beautiful but after waiting so long for carts, learning

cart availablity is a chronic issue from a member, I would not recommend this course.

We also were told the course overbooked by 30 people that day.

I had booked our tee time several weeks in advance because I wanted our visitors to play it.

It was a disappointing experience.

Not in as good shape as it traditionally is. Greens seemed stressed with looked like water damage.

Course was in good shape, enjoyed the couple we played with. Played in 4 hours and the course condition was very good.

There were two very slow 4-balls in front of us; the front 9 took 2 1/2 hours. After 6 holes the ranger said he was trying to improve the pace of play, but it did not seem to change. We requested and received a rain check for 9 holes, good for 2 years.

Usually we really like this course, especially the front 9., Unfortunately, we started on the 10th hole so did not get to play the front 9.

I had a 8:44AM tee time and was asked to start 20 minutes earlier but I didn’t want to go then. Got some attitude from the starter for not wanting to go before I was ready to play. Overall the course is in it in great condition, considering the rate I paid…

Staff was friendly and the layout was solid. Range facility was fine. A couple of the greens had been patched but still rolled well. Would play this course again.

We left after 9 holes, because the first 9 took 2 1/2 hours. The course gave us a rain check for 9 holes, so they recognized the problem. Nice course; bad day.

Always enjoy playing Oyster Reef. Good conditions, very playable course, greens in good shape.

Great layout. Kept very well from tee to green. Wonderful experience. We will be back
