Located in Florida’s oldest city, Royal St. Augustine Golf & Country Club offers a glimpse of the area’s lush foliage and native marshlands. The course has a visually interesting layout with elevated, sprawling greens and a variety of bunker shapes and sizes. The moguled fairways and sandy waste areas are two other distinguishing features of the course. It is a tight course with large greens and gentle undulations. The layout provides a “target-golf” experience that puts a premium on accuracy and distance control. The numerous bends in the course in combination with the blustery winds also makes proper club selection very important.

The worst golf experience that I have ever encountered. Most greens were pocked marked and basically hit and hope. In my considered opinion if the owner does not spend serious money on this course he will lose it to weeds and a lack of irrigation. the only thing that saved our day was that I invited a father and son to play and they were delightful. NEVER coming back to this course. Would recommend that Golf Pass take it off of there list of places to play at any price. Garbage.

The course conditions were awful. No grass on tee boxes, weeds in fairway and rough. Greens were spotty.

Good Potential Golf Course!

While staying in St Augustine we wanted to play several courses. One we chose was the Royal St Augustine.

The staff was great, polite and efficient. The clubhouse and restaurant are very nice.

The fairways on the front nine are rough. Crabgrass and bare spots covered most. One positive, the ball rolled forever.The tee boxes shared this.

The greens were inconsistent.

The back nine was much better. Fairways and greens were more like what we expected.

Hopefully these conditions are temporary.

Great staff, somewhat rough course.
