About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

The course in really good shape. Most times they do not have range balls.
Worth My Time & Money
This is a nice public course with a fun layout that offers some challenging holes while remaining playable for higher handicaps. The greens roll smoothly, and the fairways are well-maintained. The driving range is adequate for warmups but not much else.
As an out-of-town visitor, the pace of play felt slow, though it might be average for the area. Adding a marshal to help manage the flow and encourage groups to let faster players through would improve the experience. Overall, it’s an enjoyable course that’s worth a visit.
Doglegs and tough ruff
Very nice course. But I didn’t have my GPS And there were no yardage markers. So since I had never played this course and the first hole was a dogleg. I was completely lost. Wasn’t until the 3rd or 4th hole before I could see the flag on the tee box. I was a single but the foursome in front of me would not let me play through However I did find the course in great shape and challenge
Nice Course
Wedgefield has gone through changes. the course looked good and played well. The tee boxes were nice, bunkers were clean, and the greens were smooth. They have spent some time and money on making this course stand out and I'll definitely play here again.
Simply an affordable good golf course
Maybe not sexy to make name dropping with Wedgefieild, but this is a Very Very respectable golf course.
Greens are maybe 8 on stintmeter, the sand trap are not white, the fairway is seeded, so , this is a perk of of our 42l last days.
Play it
My New Favorite
I was totally impressed with this course. From check in to finish, everyone I encountered was super friendly and accommodating.
The course was very much like courses I find in the Midwest. From tee to green, everything was as you would expect.
I played with one other person and we played the front side in 1.5 hours, then we ran into the member groups but they still moved well. We finished in 3.5 hours, so we were not displeased.
The one downside for me would be, their driving range, which really was a grassy piece of land that you hit into. They didn't have any distance markers, so it was a guessing games about distances.
