Wedgefield Golf Club
About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Must play again
On October 4,
Wet but playable, layout is good, greens are not spotty but slow. Good report quality price.

Excellent Conditions
The course was a little wet from the rains, however it was in great condition. The greens were excellent. Best ones we've played on in a long time.
Crabby
Piles of crabgrass all over the fairways. Chunks of grass and lumps from plugs around the apron of greens making chipping difficult. Mowers and scrapers and cleaners all over course but nobody spraying the crabgrass Very noisy and discourteous workers. All in all this particular day it was Hard to stay focused
Wedgefield gets better and better every time I play. You can tell they are putting in effort to restore it to its glory. Always my go to course
I usually like this course
They had recently aeriated the greens and had not sanded all of them yet so putting was not great....maybe give it a week or two...this is a fairly easy course, good for beginners but tough enough to be interesting...I live on the east side so 20 minutes away but a field trip for most to get there
Good golf
Course in great shape only a few places affected by all the rain, greens are getting better after being aired
Great course !
Great course that has a few challenging but fun holes. My favorites were holes 1. Par 5 dog leg left make sure you keep it down right side of fairway huge trees blocking left side approaching shot. Hole 5 was a short par 4. Definitely with some wind gree is driveable! And 7 with a cool approaching shot over a huge lily pond.
Hi Richard,
Great to receive your feedback. The good news we are spraying for the goosegrass and have begun a pre emergence program to ultimate the weeds over the next few years. We continue to work on golf course improvements and look forward to seeing you at Wedgefield GC in the future.
Your Sincerely
Craig Cooke
