Wedgefield Golf Club

This course had come a long way since the previous owner has taken over. He has revitalized the course and it is a fun challenging course to play.

Hit Wedgefield links today. Tee times set 15 minutes apart so I didn’t have to wait for the next hole to clear. Great rate for a Saturday and easy to start as I arrived after 11:00. Fairways were silver ( fungicide treatment) which should green back next week. Course management is evident as they are maintaining the grounds well. Greens were great and a putting pleasure. Staff super friendly and no cranky marshal interfering in your game. Made my round in under 3 hours.. I’ll be back !

I loved playing this course. The greens were very well kept and the par 3s on the course were very unique.

Man, has this place improved! The greens are in great shape. Fairways look awesome. Some bunkers were a little hard with some of the rain we've had. A few tee boxes just need the aeration and overseed. Some were slanted which means the whole box wouldn't get used.

But for the money, this is a great course. Amenities are basic.

If you play the white tees make sure to look for the tee box tucked in the trees. Its a cool view.

Played alone early and had a great time. Course condition is great. Fairways are nice so are the greens. My one complaint would be the rough if you play by yourself you’re gonna lose some balls. The grass is just tall enough to where the ball sits down in it and you can’t see it. It would definitely have helped to have an extra set of eyes, bring a friend.

I like the course but you have to get the greens cut to a normal length. It's no fun putting on greens that are cut the same length as the fairway.

You have to give lots of credit to the Owner for all the work he puts in. Every time I play here he is either Grading a new Tee Box or Sodding a new Green, and it shows. This Course is in better condition now than its been in years.

Every time I play here the owner has upgraded another area. Weather it's moving Tee Boxees or new Greens he is always making improvements.

some courses just seem to always disappoint...They have redone the greens which are excellent but yesterday they did not mow three of them and the rough was over six inches deep right off the fairways. You had to be looking straight down to find a ball 2 feet off. I asked a guy doing some mowing and there were at least 2 on the course and he said someone was on vacation who did the rough...yeah right

First time I played this course was back in January. It had almost an abounded feel to the course. Wasn’t in good condition. Fast forward to now, the course is in great condition! They just redid some of the greens on the back 9 so they’re on the longer side and run slow but they run smooth finally! Front 9 is probably in the best shape it’s been in since it opened. Love to see it when a course actually puts the money and time to fix it. Definitely the best $30 you can spend playing 18 holes. Just gotta re do the club house next. Just needs to be updated/ painted. This course could charge more if the clubhouse was nicer imo

This course is it has a nice layout it is in good shape the greens are true. Staff inside and out is very friendly and accommodating.

Thanks to the courses management, the course continues to improve, especially the greens -- they are on great shape.

Wedgefield has been a course on the rise, improving every time I've played it over the past 6-8 months. The owner clearly cares about the course and the players.. I played on Saturday morning and the pace was awesome. Although there was 1 temporary green and 3 others that were slow due to long/new grass; the reason why was explained to us. I highly recommend this course and will play again soon!
