About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Great overall.
Some of the best greens I've seen in a while. The fairways could use some work. Balds spots but better than I've seen on this course.
Great experience
Nice course for the money. Very friendly staff. Free ice,! Carts were very nice also
Nice round
A fun course to play. Greens were ok. A little poa infestation. Bunkers in poor shape. Fairways were good. Tee boxes in ok shape.
Laid back course
It was a fun round with 4 foursomes on a Saturday. This was in snowbird season, and we still felt like we had the course to ourselves. No cart / bev service driving around. Driving range is a little patchy. Putting green is nice. Would go back.

Course was in very good shape considering the winter we have had.
Great Course
This course is a great course for beginners, intermediate and those who are working on their game. The course has some great Par 5’s, wide open greens and great putting surfaces. This is my favorite course for pace of play as you don’t have to be in a rush to complete the course in a flash. Everyone is friendly and great to get along with as the staff is concerned.
Good value for the money
Most of the course was in good condition. The fairways were a little then but playable. The greens were in excellent shape. The pace of play was really slow as the course was packed with golfers.
Wedgefield CC
Course is on the far east side of Orlando and accessible off the 528. Flat course with numerous drainage ditches coming into play. Greens were slow and fairways dry. Limited food options. Friendly staff. I enjoyed my round and definitely will return for future play.
15 years later
One of the first places I played when I started vacationing in Orlando. I had no memories of the course from then. I liked the layout. They had pins in some tough spots and the greens were faster than I expected.
Played white tees at just over 6200 yards. I would recommend playing here. Take the drive and save yourself a few bucks. I believe most players would enjoy it.
Value!
Your not going to beat the deal here. It's a solid 18, play the correct tee boxes and you will have an enjoyable day.
