About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Pirated Greens and Hardpan Fairways
Played part of the front with a couple of twenty somethings which was pleasant until they left after nine.Back was closed when I started but opened before I made the turn. All greens had recently been pirated which made putting a guess and the fairways were dry and lumpy. But I wasn't hiting it well so it didn't really effect my game.
Good course
They just punched holes in the fairways because the surface was very dry and hard. The greens are absalutely exellent.
3.5 stars - worth a round
Bit far from Orlando core, but worth a round with replay of $20 making it great value for golfers who want to play 36 holes!
Coming back after it rains
Like many Florida courses, at the end of the dry season they are hardpan. The greens were in good shape and a low, hard shot would roll forever.
Once the fairway grass comes back, it will be a nice course to play.
Dry fairways
Course is very dry and hard but they keep the greens in very good condition. I miss the resaurant.
Greens and tee boxes were green but fairway’s were dried out. I hear it has not rained in 23
days.Overall the conditions were good.
Good course but still needs grass in fairways
Most of the greens were in good shape, not overerly fast. However the fairways and tee boxes needed more grass. Pace of play was great as we finished in 3 hrs and 10 minutes.
