About
The 18-hole championship course at Don Shula's Golf Club is one of those courses that just seems to get better as you play your way around.
The first few holes are fairly open and not overly difficult. However, things start to get more difficult as you continue. By the time you make it to the 11th green, you'll know that you're in for a real dogfight. The fairways on the back get tight and there's water on just about every hole. All in all, it's a very enjoyable course from start to finish.
There are tennis courts, multiplex, fitness center etc. There’s something for everyone. The hotel's onsite amenities include upscale dining at the Original Shula's Steak House and casual dinning at the Bull Pen, which serves breakfast lunch and light dinner until 7pm.

Great outing for the winter break
I enjoyed playing here. Staff very friendly and the course was in great condition. Don't take the back nine for granted - water in play on seven holes.
Short but effective
Course was in great condition and very well organized. It plays fairly short with some interesting holes and challenges you with water hazards. I wish they had a more accessible driving range to warm up before teeing off but it was pretty awkward to have to cross the parking lot and not being able to use a cart to get there. Overall it's a course i don't mind playing again.

Fantastic
Awesome course, greens were beautiful and pretty fast. We had the first tee time at 7 so the pace was lightning fast, but it seemed like everyone behind us was keeping the pace up too. Great course, we would play it everyday and be HAPPY

The course has seen better days
While I'm sure this course was a great tract in the days of Shula's reign with the Dolphins, it has suffered a bit over the years and is a little tired. While still a good play, it obviously could use a bit of sprucing up.

We perform most of our work during the summer months so that play during the busy season is not affected. Shula Golf course
Played the Shula Golf course for first time. Played the gold tees and it rewarded you if you hit a good tee shot. The fairways were fairly open, but there were a couple of holes were you were challenged to hit across water on a diagonal to get maximum distance. The course was in great shape and the putting greens rolled consistent.
There was no draft beer or beer specials, but Jackie was really nice and provided great service in the pub.
If would recommend this course to friends.

Good for value but jammed packed
The course is great for the value, however, its jammed packed with golfers, pace of play is really slow, there is no staff on course trying to keep up pace of play. Havent been able to finish last couple of rounds played there.

It is getting dark here around 6 pm. I would suggest starting earlier before 1:00pm to get in all 18. Our rangers are on the course till 4pm. I will speak to all ranger staff to pay more attention to the later times regarding pace of play. We hope to see you again soon.

Disappointment
This is a $30 course at any given time. Courses in Michigan can charge $20-$30 with cart, beer and a dog at the turn and are in much better condition.
Played this course twice a few days apart and both times the pace of play was so bad we had idiots hitting up on us from the tee box as we waited for the green to clear!!!
Two rounds of golf, never had the beer cart person come by us, although saw her in the pro shop at the turn and on the other nine, duh!
Fairways to soft, greens were bumpy as well.

Thank you for your review of Shula's Golf Club. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your experience at Shula's Golf Club. The pace of play is usually 4 to 4.5 hours before 12pm and can be higher after 12pm. Not sure when you played. Most rounds of golf on the weekends are completed in 4 hours or less before 10am. Did you speak to the course ranger during you round? We have rangers on staff to provide assistance to players and to help with pace of play.
I spoke with the F&B director regarding no bev cart service. He apologized to me and will keep his staff on longer hours.
We hope that your travels bring you back to South Florida and that you can take advantage of an early starting time so that pace of play will not be an issue and course conditions will be optimal.

Great greens
Greens were huge and almost perfect. Best we have played in south FL. Remainder of course in good shape but nothing outstanding

Nice track
Course is very challenging from golds. In good shape for the price. For the people that complain about it being a slow round try getting off your wallet and tee off before discount times in the afternoon. Will definitely play here again.

Fun Course
Shula's Course was a very nice course. Pace of play was a bit slow took over 5 hours to play our round. The course set up was great and greens were difficult and rolled nicely. Will play there again when get a chance.

Nice layout
Starter was kind of upset that I came alone and was not advised. Finally decide to send me on the 10th hole for tee off. Maintenance of cartpath is Very poor.
