The Senator Course at Shula's Golf Club

Overall the course was in good shape. The greens had been punched a couple weeks prior and were returning to great shape. My expectations were higher for a course named after Don Shula. Driving range was in terrible condition and it's a long walk across a parking lot to the range. The locations of restrooms were bad and the cart girl on showed up twice while on the course.

It is incumbent on golfnow to inform customers when a course is under repair.
We drove all the way there, and were warned by staff.
We played, since we were there already. Greens had JUST been aerated.

I have always seen this course as I drive by. When it came up at such a low price with early tee time I jumped at. I was greatly impressed with the quality of the course and the staff was very nice as well. The greens and fairways where both in great shape. The course is challenging but not to difficult I would recommend this as a must play. I will play this course again.

I spend two weeks in Key Largo each April and we were willing to drive 75 minutes north to try a few of the Miami area courses. Shula's course was in very good shape for late April. Greens excellent and fairways good. The staff was very pleasant, the post round lunch good as well. Course is not too difficult, the back nine has much more water in play. Definite replay next year.

Although we could not hit range balls because the pickup machine was broken, the fairways are beautiful, greens are very nice, staff is friendly and helpful, and they have a nice beverage cart. We had a fun day of golf at the Senator Course!!

The course was outdated, poorly maintained and unorganized. The picker for the driving range was broken, the cart paths in disrepair, the rental clubs were over priced and broken. The greens were nice but the fairways and bunkers lacking the same attention.

We booked two Hot Deals through GolfNow. Checked in at clubhouse and starter told us to tee off on the first hole. Quickly found out we were near the beginning of their second fund-raising scramble of the day with a shotgun start. Took 6 hours to finish the round. We were not happy, the people playing the scramble were not happy. Five groups backed up on one of the par 5s. 20 minute wait on number 10 tee. No marshals. Greens were good, fairways were ok. Very ratty and neglected in other places. Course does not live up to it's reputation. Will never come back.

Played for a cheap price on golf now app.this course is real nice and has real nice greens and fairways....

Kids free is perfect, tank you... when we make our golf trips with our children, play golf four greatly increases the invoice, thank you has you agree not to charge the juniors, we return home next year.

Good layout, well maintained, quick greens. Recommended

Fun and challenging course with great conditions and good cart service. If only people used proper etiquette and let smaller groups play through, the pace would excellent.

Love resort style golf courses, but don't want to spend a King's Ransom over at Trump?

Come on down to Shula's.

Truly amazing course for the value. It is really well maintained, and most holes have 2nd and 3rd cuts.

The front 9 is fun, especially on the 2nd hole, there's an elevated tee box, it's nice to watch your ball fly. Then there's a challenging par 5, with a semi island hole, that is also as fun.

Greens play fair.

Back 9 becomes more challenging, and has a beautiful 18th hole.

Staff was friendly, helped us with what ever we needed. Made sure we had tees and water.

You really can't beat the price of this great course.

Very nice course. Some grounds need repair but I saw several staff member working on it throughout the course. I'm sure it will get repaired.

Course conditions where pretty good. Driving range was pretty unkept. Staff was friendly but pretty disorganized and seemed disinterested, Not a top resort but decent golf.

Very nice course and the number of the lakes in the second stage becomes a great challenge if you want to do a good score

The greens were good. Most fairways were pretty good except 15th which was really bad.

The front 9 was in very good condition. Enjoyable. The back nine however was somewhat neglected. Condition was sub par. Staff was very friendly.

Very impressed with overall course experience. Upon arrival they were over booked by 6 pairings at my 11:00am tee time. Thanks to rain the course cleared early and we played stress free from hole 4 on. Carts and greens were solid. No navigation/GPS on carts. Driving range was tragic for a corpse of this caliber. B grade overall. Will play again.
