The tee shot on 14 at Meadowlands requires a golfer's sense of humor to navigate successfully. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 11/07/2018
Pace of Play-Starter
Too many players on one course at one time. Inexperienced Starter sending off twosomes and threesomes while singles waited. No Marshall and extremely slow making for a boring waste of time. Greens hard and dry with cups cut 12" apart from old pin placements. Traps wet, fairways were ok with a nice layout. Mostly elderly players on a course to challenging for their playing ability. Will not return...
Great Golf
Great hot deal here. Loved the course...great greens and fairways with a nice variety of holes. Pace was good even though the course was busy. Good variety of tee boxes.
Only complaint would be with the staff. Starter/golf cart guy was a grouch. Ignores you and doesn't really want you to ask about anything even though it was our first time there. Forget about that as you should play this course.
Nice greens
The greens were nice with decent speed and true roll. There were a few blind water hazards even with a local showing us the way. The local said if you like this course which we did you should try farmstead
Great coarse
We booked tee time on line arrived at coarse ahead of time staff were excellent friendly happy to see us. Got a deal on practice balls starter gave us a good briefing on the coarse and got us out right on our tee time. Coarse was in great condition we would recommend this coarse anytime looking forward to playing it next year
Glad I Played
I wasn't expecting much being pre-spring and having already played a couple of other courses in the area. It was early on a windy and cold morning but the course made up for the unpleasant weather conditions. The Meadowlands was in outstanding condition especially for this time of year. While the rough hadn't grown in yet (but was clean) the fairways were lush and the greens in perfect condition. The fairways set the ball up nice, gave me clean divots (without grabbing my club). My ball rolled true on the greens with a few, but not all, of the greens challenging (tiered or tilted). The staff was friendly and helpful, especially inside the clubhouse. Because of the wind and cold temperature I almost cancelled. I was really glad I didn't. The course turned raw weather conditions into a rather pleasant experience.
The best cours we play all ready, and we play 10 diferents courses.
Bag drop, pro shop and snack bar persons were great. The course was in ok shape, a little wet after all the rain but still good value. We would come back.
Great Day
Overall great course. Due to the heavy rain the previous day the course was soaked and we had cart paths only. Other than this which is out of the courses control everything else was perfect. Greens rolled true and VERY fast.
Good starting course for Myrtle golf trip
Threw a dart to pick a warm-up course to start the week. Course was in good condition overall with greens a little slow due to accelerating grass growth due to the warm weather. Opening 3 holes were nicely designed. Several holes have had-to-see ponds crossing into the landing area which can be challenging the first time playing the course. Would not put this in the MB top 20 (except for pro shop staff), but was a good value.
Always has been a good course to play......has it's challenges, but fair to the mid to high handicaps. Play was slower than previous outings (waited on every shot), but enjoyed the round. The course was in good condition.
A nice surprise
Upon arrival at the bag drop we didn't find the personnel very friendly nor were they friendly after loading our clubs on to the carts. This was a complete opposite with the clubhouse staff as the individual in the clubhouse couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We, however, did enjoy our round of golf on a perfect day. The tee blocks, fairways, greens and bunkers were in great shape. The course has a great layout with a nice variety of holes and the water holes give the course a nice feature. We would definitely play Meadowlands again!!!
A pleasure to play at.
All-round lovely course; great dog-leg layouts; plenty of bunkers and water( water often hidden - use your GPS!
Greens tough to read so walk around each green - a la the pros!
Ok course. Doesn't necessarily set up well for my game
course condition
This golf course was in very good condition even though it had rained the night before. The greens were a little on the slow side but the practice green was the same as the course greens. All of the help was kind and courteous. I suggest you play here if you want to enjoy playing golf!
