The tee shot on 14 at Meadowlands requires a golfer's sense of humor to navigate successfully. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 11/07/2018
Not organized
Too many golfers and way too disorganized. Allowed a group of seven to replay at 2pm. We were one hour late on our tee time. Backed up on every hole. Course is good and conditions were excellent
Course Conditions
Tee boxes and fairways were great. Greens were in bad shape and don't think they will recover anytime soon. All the staff was friendly. Pro shop was well supplied as was the lounge/snack bar. I just wish the greens were not so bad
Nice layout.
Staff were friendly. Fairways in good shape but greens need a little TLC and needed to be rolled and cut. ( end of weekend) Overall a good time and enjoyed my game with another couple.
This course is in great shape
Overalll, great course, plenty of sand in traps, greens roll true, Fairways are in good shape, tee boxes level. If your looking for a quality round without breaking the bank, this is the place!
This course has a lot of water
My wife and I enjoyed this golf course. I play from the senior tees and her the ladies, it was not very long for either of us but it has a lot of water which makes it play tough sometimes. We booked with golf4unow which was a great deal. Will use them again.
Put some "green" into the greens.
Nice design. Forgiving. Fairways decent. Greens were not well kept. Bouncy roll. Patchy. Fix the greens and the course would be terrific
Gorgeous course
Loved this course. It was in excellent condition and absolutely beautiful fairways and greens. Would play here again for sure!
Top Notch
After playing several other courses in the Myrtle Beach are and paying more this course was truly a great value. The course was in great shape and all of the staff were helpful and attentive to all of my needs.
RAIN CHECKS NOT GREAT
This was our 3rd round at Meadowlands. We played 5 holes and got rained out. Pro Shop would only issue a rain check for 9 holes. What's up with that?
Fun course hazards should be flagged.
Played early Easter Sunday. Just a twosome and we expected to be paired up and we're prepared for a slow round being peak season and all. Guys at the bag drop were surly old men. Seems to be all there are at golf courses in Myrtle area these days. They don't hire kids to do these jobs anymore which is a shame. Pro shop attendant was very nice. We were told a group had cancelled and we were free to go early as a twosome. Played through one foursome and got around in about 2 and a half hours. Fairways and tees were in great shape. Overseeded rye is always nice. Dormant Bermuda roughs were ok. Greens were so so. They had just been top dressed with green sand so they looked nice but you could tell they were worn out underneath. I suspect they'll start growing in better with the warmer temps. Only complaint other than surly bagpas is the lack of flagging on hazards. Course is very flat so hazards are hard to recognize. Lost a ball on a hole where the hazard juts out into the fairway and they don't put the hole layout signs back at the championship tees which weren't even placed by the way. Just empty tee boxes back there.
Good normal golf
I would say that the golf course is fine for an average player. Not too difficult with some very interesting. I expect to go back againt..
Front nine great and the back nine the greatest
Most of the holes were involving water hazards with a beautiful setting. The pace was a little slow but for first time golfers it was quite understanding. One of the prettiest courses played.
Really enjoyed this course.
Will definitely play this course again. Excellent price and in good condition. Ball can roll out easily when in the "rough."
Greens are quick with lots of green (?). Did not impact roll or deter from enjoyment.
Played Meadowlands
Great golf course with lots of water and sand that can wreak havoc if too wayward. They water around the greens which makes the grass more playable when chipping. Greens are undulating but not overly fast. This was my favorite course while in Myrtle Beach.
Bag for the Buck
The Good:
Excellent tee box and fairways conditions.
Pace of play on front 9 was great.
Bar & Grill staff were kind & friendly.
Pro Shop was welcoming & good price.
The Bad:
Starters were not accommodating.
No Ranger but an abundance of starters.
The greens were a little beat up.
