Boulder Creek Golf Club - Coyote Run/Eldorado Valley

Great layout with challenges on almost every hole. Greens were great that rolled quick and true.

Played the Coyote Run - Eldorado combo. Coyote was far more challenging with lots of sand. Loved the layout of both nines and the conditioning, particularly the greens. My only issue with the course was the lack of yardage indication. No 150-yd markers. Sprinkler heads are marked but very difficult to read due to corrosion, muddiness and the fact they were all well recessed below the ground and covered by grass.

The course itself is pretty good if you are under a 10 handicap, but for those higher, the course is tricked up with ravines running thru the middle, sand traps placed in spots where the ball easily rolls into them and other obstacles to make the average golfer score a lot higher than usual.

The carts were old and need to be replaced. The brake didn't work on our first one so we had to have it replaced. No gps or speakers. The restroom in the main clubhouse was shoddy. No water on the course. There were a few water stands but they were all empty.

Bottom line. I wanted to try a new course near Vegas, since I have played most of the ones in Vegas. Wish I had spent my time and money somewhere else.

Greens ran true. Pace of play was a tad bit slow due to some out of towners haveing a great time but that’s why we golf right! Great layout with awesome afternoon sunsets. 9/10 highly recommend playing if you have the chance.

I have played this course several times over the past year. Always in good condition, especially with the desert climate. The greens were running fast, but held shots well. Playing from the back tees will test your game.
