North Shore Golf Course
About
The 18-hole North Shore Golf Club in Orlando, Florida is a semi-private golf course that opened in 2001. The course slides around lakes and wetlands, and then detours through a grove of large ancient oak trees before re-emerging into the clear at the finish. It has two distinct nines converging to form one remarkable 18-hole layout. Begin your round on the Modern nine, winding through native wetlands and Florida's natural topography. The Classic nine is carved through a grove of 100-year old oak trees, creating an enjoyably unique setting for your finishing holes. North Shore Golf Club is located less than 10 minutes from Orlando International Airport and offers a complete practice facility and world-class instruction.

#13 fairway, long and wide. Ignore the brown grass in the foreground - the fairways are lush enough to hit fairway woods on the par 5s with ease. Photo submitted by Buckleahy on 02/23/2013

coarse was a bit run down but was ok for what i was charged differently would not pay what the normal charge
North Shore course conditions not up to par with cost
Very pricey round for very sad condition of the golf course. Most of the greens have a pest. The tees don’t have grass. Fairways are with scarce grass. Such nice layout, it’s such a shame see it going down. The positive side, they seem to have a great kids program, which will be the only reason I would come back to bring my grandson.
The annual battle continues - patchy in spots
This is basically my home course. It is undergoing its annual battle with the elements. Sometimes the course is in grade shape, and sometimes it struggles. Very patchy fairways and greens. Fun day, decent pace even though we were behind the “no head covers/multiple balls off the tee” division. Staff is great. Good value.
Disappointing
Played Northshore many times in the past and am quite sad to say the course conditions were far from what I can remember. Most of the front nine greens are afflicted with some sort of blight that makes the putting experience dreadful. The tee boxes are as bad, Had to tee off away from the markers a few times just to get some good footing. With the bad conditions and what appears to be a clothing fire sale in the pro shop, one could easily wonder if the course is up for sale and no more money is to be invested. It pains me to write that Northshore is off our rotation visits for the foreseeable future.
North Shore Golf Club
Greens were mostly in great shape. Several tee boxes and fairways were pretty ratty.
North Shore lost it luster
Been a few years since playing here. Thought we would take a ride over for a round. The course has many condition issues with tee boxes, and greens. Very disappointed. The layout is great, but something has happened to the maintenance.
Interesting Mix of Holes, Great Value, Highly Recommed
This course is a hidden gem, tucked into a nice suburban neighborhood. The course appeals to all skill levels and presents an interesting mix of holes. Considering the weather the course is in excellent condition; the greens roll true, and the spots that need attention show evidence that the staff is improving the course. I played midday with the temp extremely hot but the very nice young lady came around with the cart multiple times. The staff is friendly, there is a restaurant available, and the pace of play was great. Very competitive pricing. I highly recommend the course, which is just a short drive from the expressway and not far from the airport.
Poor and strongly worst condition
This course look like you been playing in a jungle...greens, tee off box, fairway and practice area.
I’ll chalk it up to summer conditions
Starting to look a little nasty. Greens rolled nice . Fairways have gone down quick and around the greens is bad. Tee boxes are in horrible shape .. played for 30 bucks so I’ll take it . Needs a lot of work .. and can we please put some water on the course .. 95 degrees should have water out .. not good .
This course has seen better days
Greens were recently punched but no mention of that at the course, no starter or cart girl. The course conditions were pretty bad, tee boxes were patchy and not taken care of, fairways were the same with weeds growing in them. The greens had patch areas as well. This course is typically in good shape, not sure what happened.
Greens are good but?
The course is not in great condition. There is very little grass on the driving range, tees and fairways. The greens are their saving grace and those have some bare patches around the edges. I’m sure they will get their act together for the busy season but at the moment it is a disappointment.
Worst conditioned course I’ve ever played in Orlando
That was the saddest conditions I’ve ever seen for a golf course in Florida. It was terrible. The tee boxes and fairways were all sand/mud. The greens were fine but everything else was horrible. Worst value ever for a $70 round of golf.
Over Priced, Poor Conditions
Was disappointed in the North Shore, as I assumed for the price it would be in much better condition. The tee boxes are run down and barren, the fairways are average at best, and the greens are in poor condition with dollar weeds throughout.
I say all this because the green fee, $80 in morning, $40 afternoon, is extremely high and I assumed the condition would be commensurate with the price. Instead, the course feels more like Wekiva or Casselberry, but at least they’re improving their course with upgrades.
Not worth it
Greens were decent, but very little grass in the fairways, tee boxes pretty ratty.
Good course, lousy conditions, hope they recover soon.
