North Shore Golf Course
About
The 18-hole North Shore Golf Club in Orlando, Florida is a semi-private golf course that opened in 2001. The course slides around lakes and wetlands, and then detours through a grove of large ancient oak trees before re-emerging into the clear at the finish. It has two distinct nines converging to form one remarkable 18-hole layout. Begin your round on the Modern nine, winding through native wetlands and Florida's natural topography. The Classic nine is carved through a grove of 100-year old oak trees, creating an enjoyably unique setting for your finishing holes. North Shore Golf Club is located less than 10 minutes from Orlando International Airport and offers a complete practice facility and world-class instruction.

#13 fairway, long and wide. Ignore the brown grass in the foreground - the fairways are lush enough to hit fairway woods on the par 5s with ease. Photo submitted by Buckleahy on 02/23/2013

course was tough
North Shore is in Great Shape
I was very happy with condition of the course. They really do a great job keeping it in such good condition. I have to say though that they really should have a cart person on the course. It was hot out there. There were no water coolers on the course either. Little things like that make a big difference in the hot weather.
Good Course but Needs Lots of Help
To begin I will say that I really like this course, and have played it easily 60 times over the years. It is close to me and generally a good track. The staff is always friendly and the pace of play is usually pretty decent. That said the course condition is the poorest that I have ever seen. At least 7 of the greens and probably as many tee boxes have a significant fungus issue and there are several patches of NO grass, Im talking anywhere from 2 feet to 10 feet in diameter, I understand that these things happen and I imagine they will try hard to correct it however, it will take a lot of time to get these greens and tee boxes looking good again. For me if the round was like $40 bucks I probably would not be too upset, but for $80 honestly I felt ripped off. Again, not a reflection on the staff but seriously they should let you know before you book that nearly half of the greens are in poor shape. At the end of the day it will be awhile before I return, I hope they get things right because it really is a fun challenging layout.
Hit and Miss
Sometimes this course is in great shape, but this recent round the course was playable. Its typically in better condition. Everything else is great, the restaurant and pro shop people are very friendly..
New carts
They have rolled out new carts, they are really nice. They have gps, scoring, and Bluetooth. Some areas are too sensitive for locked cart but they will work that out.
Nice layout fast pace
Nice layout challenging but fair. We played at a fairly quick pace but didn’t realize it. We never really hurried but played in just over 3 hours
Terrible Shape
I am having trouble believing these reviews were written by players. I have played North Shore many times. Love the course but quit playing because they were charging as much as Shingle Creek. Saw it was $50 and thought I was getting a deal. I don’t know what kind of fungus/grounds keeper it has now, but resembles more of a goat ranch than a golf course. It might be worth $20 bucks at 8am on a Saturday. I guess they figured we will just quit maintaining the course and keep taking money. People working were great. Course, not so much.
North Shore in great shape.
Greens, fairways, and tea boxes are all in really good shape. Simply a great course and fun to play.
Playing at NS
North Shore, is a very lovely course to play. I enjoyed and thank you for an amazing time.
Few greens “punched”
Few greens punched which made for green conditions to be poor.
