North Shore Golf Course

About
The 18-hole North Shore Golf Club in Orlando, Florida is a semi-private golf course that opened in 2001. The course slides around lakes and wetlands, and then detours through a grove of large ancient oak trees before re-emerging into the clear at the finish. It has two distinct nines converging to form one remarkable 18-hole layout. Begin your round on the Modern nine, winding through native wetlands and Florida's natural topography. The Classic nine is carved through a grove of 100-year old oak trees, creating an enjoyably unique setting for your finishing holes. North Shore Golf Club is located less than 10 minutes from Orlando International Airport and offers a complete practice facility and world-class instruction.

#13 fairway, long and wide. Ignore the brown grass in the foreground - the fairways are lush enough to hit fairway woods on the par 5s with ease. Photo submitted by Buckleahy on 02/23/2013

New carts
They have rolled out new carts, they are really nice. They have gps, scoring, and Bluetooth. Some areas are too sensitive for locked cart but they will work that out.
Nice layout fast pace
Nice layout challenging but fair. We played at a fairly quick pace but didn’t realize it. We never really hurried but played in just over 3 hours
Terrible Shape
I am having trouble believing these reviews were written by players. I have played North Shore many times. Love the course but quit playing because they were charging as much as Shingle Creek. Saw it was $50 and thought I was getting a deal. I don’t know what kind of fungus/grounds keeper it has now, but resembles more of a goat ranch than a golf course. It might be worth $20 bucks at 8am on a Saturday. I guess they figured we will just quit maintaining the course and keep taking money. People working were great. Course, not so much.
North Shore in great shape.
Greens, fairways, and tea boxes are all in really good shape. Simply a great course and fun to play.
Playing at NS
North Shore, is a very lovely course to play. I enjoyed and thank you for an amazing time.
Few greens “punched”
Few greens punched which made for green conditions to be poor.
Not a great experience
Want to preface this review by saying course layout is great, have played here many times and when open the course is fun. The staff in the clubhouse are awesome too. However, playing today on june 1st, this was the worst course management ive seen in a very long time. No starter and 2hrs and 50 min on the front. We left after 9 and wouldn’t recommend to come back in current state of the course. There was rain day before but drainage is a huge issue here. 10 min tee times and still has foursomes taking 20-30 shots a hole.
Love this course when it is in true form but will not come back until there is dedication to pace of play.
IMPROVED, HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Course is an interesting mix of Easy/Moderate/Difficult holes. Course conditions are improved and very good to excellent especially given the climactic conditions. New carts with GPS, friendly staff, snack bar/grill all are a plus. Excellent value for the $, Highly Recommend.
Reasonable & Fair
Recently played North Shore during Memorial Day. The fairways were fine, but the greens and tee boxes showed a little fungus or burn out spots. Very typical for the summer. As we approached the back 9, pace of play became extremely slow. I did not see a ranger at all on the course but it might help with pace of play. A single player should not hold up a threesome or let them play through.
Over Priced
North Shore was in pretty good shape over all. The greens had some weeds and very bad spots but rolled pretty good. They charged $25.00 for my special needs son to ride along with my wife and I. We needed two carts for that reason which is garbage in my opinion. It’s not like I can just leave him at home. All you can’t get ice in the cooler on the cart unless you buy something from the snack bar. More garbage. Being very hot wanted ice to cool down our cool rags but nope you had something first. Great lay out and fun to play but the price is quite high for late May early June.
My day well spent
The course condition is not as good as last time I played here. Last time was at the beginning of the year. The over condition is still great.
Yikes
- No Cooler
- Have to pay for Ice
- No GPS
- No Marshalls
- Course is not well maintained.
Always delivers a great golf experience
In some respects I don’t want to tell everyone about this little gem as it will get too busy!! New carts and GPS system just introduced which enhanced our game, course in great shape. Always lovely people, thank you!!!
First 9 a little longer than usual due to a slow 4 but they took a bar break after 9 and we sped through the back nine.
Great course, awesome people running the place and now impressive GPS and carts. Definitely on the up. Well done folks. You’re doing it right.
Friday afternoon golf ⛳️ round
This course is great 👍🏼. Love it, and I’ll be back next Friday.
