The Metropolitan Golf Links

The fairways throughout the course were some of the worst I've ever seen. Pace of play was awful. 10-20 minute wait to tee off on most holes.

The course creates a lot of fun links style shots with the wind however, the condition of most of the holes changed how the course should play. The fairways could be in a lot better shape and the rough needs a lot of work which would increase pace of play by a lot. Greens were just ok. At the price they charge non-residents it’s definitely not worth a repeat visit.

Metropolitan is a good course with some challenging holes.

It is adjacent to the bay so you get some wind but not too much.The greens were in very good condition. The fairways in decent shape also.

For the price ($28 on GolfNow with cart) this was a superb links course. Well-maintained, not overly crowded and friendly, non-stuffy staff. Wind is a factor (duh) but mostly wide open fairways and very reachable greens. Enough challenge for low-end amateurs without making things frustrating. And how many golf courses feature marauding foxes digging thru trash cans and sniffing around your carts??

I enjoyed my rounds. Nice course to play. The weather is super nice. Over all it is a great course.

Pretty open course... water/sand good.. course was in good shape... not soggy at all! Weather can

be windy.. but it was 70 and maybe 1 club wind. Greens were all nice, tee box fairways were also good.

Every golfer came out to take advantage of this one day of no rain. Fortunately I was able to book a 2pm tee time. Unfortunately the pace was too slow to get 18 in before the sunset. I only got 9 in and decided to quit. Greens and fairways were good. Plenty of areas to loose your ball so keep it straight than long. Sand traps are soaking wet should be a GUR. The hard fairways gave some roll but greens where inconsistent just like the sand traps. Still getting a chance to play was good considering the hot deal price.

The greens were outstanding today, absolutely on fire !!

The fairways can do with some upkeep and the second cut could be trimmed.

The most annoying thing about today was the golfers that don’t respect the greens ball marks all over every green unfortunately. Please have all your staff reassure all golfers to repair ball marks please.

Especially when I return this Sunday morning in a competition that has 110 golfers going out .

I knew we were in trouble when I showed up for my round and said "think we can get in 12?" and the marshall said, "don't think so, a lot of people had the same idea you did." The blame of course is slow play of the players...but thats a hard sell when you finish the opening hole and see three foursomes waiting at HOLE #2 in front of you. Thats not slow play...that is terrible course management. They booked too many rounds and were just sending them off to collect as much money as they could.

As far as the round, the reason we were their is the course drains better than most munis and it didn't dissapoint. If you were in the short grass it wasn't too sloppy and the greens were bumpy, but rolled. In the end, we finished 9 holes in 3 hours and 45 minutes...nearly 25 minutes a hole. We waited at least 10 minutes at every tee. A very unfortunate round.

Course was soaked, but the greens were perfect. The fairways aren't is great shape this time of year but still worth playing. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Great range and practice area. Overall course is not very difficult, great value for Bay Area. A bit noisy due to airport and manufacturing plant being very close by. Not a lot of trees or good views.

Still one of the best draining courses in the bay area. It rained hard on Sunday,but the course was in great condition. And of course a $12 Hot Deal never hurts!

Regardless of the weather the Met is always a good bet. If the breeze picks up be ready with your "wind game".

Called the pro shop to get the marshal out to speed up slow groups on back nine. Never saw them. Disappointing.........,.

Greens were in absolutely in perfect shape. Played in less then 4 hours.
