Rolling Oaks is one of two championship courses at World Woods Golf Club. The layout offers something completely different from the renowned Pine Barrens course at the club, but it still offers the same amount of challenge and quality. The golf course is named after its landscape of rolling hills and forests of centuries old Oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Lush, rolling fairways lead to undulating greens that are protected by sharply defined, white sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The golf course has a traditional design but the dramatic elevation changes and picturesque landscape covered in azaleas, dogwoods, and magnolia trees really make it stand out. In addition to the two golf courses, World Woods also offers a nine-hole practice course and a circular, 20-acre driving range with target greens and practice bunkers.

This is me on one of the more difficult par 5's. If you play it and your a long ball, play it to the right fairway...You can make it...Lol.. Photo submitted by Robert5455343 on 11/16/2013

Great day at Rolling Oaks
What a gem of a course and with a GolfNow discount our afternoon round was a bonus!
The fairways were in fantastic shape and only a few greens showing some wear.
Have played this course before. Always great conditions. Except greens extremely slow. Also, would be nice to have a ranger improve pace of play.
This is a must play if you are in the area. Fantastic.
Best course in Florida
Played Easter Sunday with my Son. World Woods is by far the best course we play in Florida.
It is always in immaculate condition. Tee boxes are great, fairways are lush and green, traps are white and the greens are magnificent. World Woods is quiet, no homes and no road noise. All you hear are birds and turkeys. We live in Clearwater Fl and we get up to World Woods about 5 times a year.
must play
rolling oaks is a gem. pine barrens seems to get more love but it's not warranted.
Play Rolling Oaks. great layout, good conditions. Overall good experience
A must play
Beautiful course, well maintained, great staff. A bit pricey in the winter time but once the time changes in the spring you can play in the afternoon for a reasonable rate. Both courses at World Woods are always in great shape but I prefer Rolling Oaks over Pine Barrens just because it suits my game better. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The practice facilities are nice but be sure to putt on the practice green at the first tee for a good feel of speed of the on course greens. Lots of undulations in the large greens so putting can be a challenge but they roll true. I live about 20 miles from the course so I play here every chance I get. Golf Now always has great rates in the summer time if you can take the Florida heat.
Scenic and Fun
We loved playing the Rolling Oaks golf course - it was very scenic but also very fair with wide open fairways. This is an exceptional golf course. We liked this course better than the Pines Barren course.
Superb layout
Excellent golf facilities.-practice area, etc. Layout one of best in area. Every hole is visually appealing.
Pace of Play poor
pace of play was decent for the first five or six holes then is slowed to a crawl. No marshall to be found and waiting for at least one group on every tee box the rest of the round
got this round on a Hot Deal so pirce was great for the caliber of the course but the slow play killed the experiance
only finished 15 holes and made a run for the parking lot started at 2 pm and it was 6:15 with three left to play
Play it
World Woods - it's a golf mecca! The practice facility and putting green are worth the trip. Arrived 2 hours before tee time, should have scheduled 3 or 4! Rolling Oaks is visually and esthetically beautiful! Park like setting with pristine conditions. Kudo's to the staff. Greens have fantastic undulation and are challenging. One of the most enjoyable rounds of golf ever. Private club experience for everyday golfers. Thanks to GolfNow, it is affordable for all.
Rolling Oaks - still a great layout
Both courses are wonderful challenges. Different layouts that do not disappoint.
Bad Starter
Standing and talking with the Starter 20 minutes before our tee time and finding out the two groups on front of us were very late, the Starter made the decision that we had to wait for the groups that were late. They finally showed up and the first of the two started teeing off at our tee time. So we ended up teeing off 30 minutes late. Those late groups were also slow and with a 1:56 start time three last three holes were in the dark pretty much unplayable. Very poor decision on the Starters part. Those two groups played slow all day and without course intervention impossible to pass together without skipping holes.
Lesson is never let the Starter overrule what you know is right.
Starts Slow, Then Great
The golf courses here are both good. We were expecting theme to be great, which is perhaps what left us a bit disappointed. The first 5 holes leave something to be desired. The course is fantastic after that.
We came as a day on a golf trip with 8 guys.
The conditioning was good, but the greens were quite slow. The practice area is great. It can be played long as the landing areas are very generous.
Overall, we really enjoyed this place
Wonderful
The course was in great condition. The starter kept a good distance between players teeing off. A ranger monitored the course to keep the pace moving smoothly. Lots of variety, lots of sand, not a lot of water. Couldn't believe how quiet it was just nature at it's best. Very pleasant day, worth the money.
