About

Rolling Oaks is one of two championship courses at World Woods Golf Club. The layout offers something completely different from the renowned Pine Barrens course at the club, but it still offers the same amount of challenge and quality. The golf course is named after its landscape of rolling hills and forests of centuries old Oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Lush, rolling fairways lead to undulating greens that are protected by sharply defined, white sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The golf course has a traditional design but the dramatic elevation changes and picturesque landscape covered in azaleas, dogwoods, and magnolia trees really make it stand out. In addition to the two golf courses, World Woods also offers a nine-hole practice course and a circular, 20-acre driving range with target greens and practice bunkers.

This is me on one of the more difficult par 5's. If you play it and your a long ball, play it to the right fairway...You can make it...Lol.. Photo submitted by Robert5455343 on 11/16/2013

Nice track but one can see that World Woods is slipping on the maintenance side. They are just not spending enough money on the course. There are no ball washers anywhere on the course had to wash balls in the bathrooms. REALLY.
Amazing condition
Love this course. It was in incredible shape and always beautiful scenery. It is one of my favorite courses.
Florida "Augusta"
The course layout, the views off the tees, shots from the fairways into the greens, to the wild turkeys that great you generally on the back nine this course provides the closest to the Georgia course my mind imagines! You must experience one or both of the courses at World Woods. Indoor as well as outdoor staff really seem to be glad you are their guest for the day. Greens could be slightly quicker, but hey its still early Feb. Make the drive to World Woods , you will be glad you did and you'll come back often, like I do
Great layout
One of the nicer courses in the Tampa area .
They greens were a bit slow and healing up from being punched . They were top dressed as well .
I played pine Barron’s the following day and the green were nicer .
I enjoyed the layout and scenery.i will come back to play these courses again as they are truly two gems for golfers of any skill level.
Beautiful course
Great conditions. Great layout. Good pace of play. Absolutely wonderful.
Disappointed
Course layout is forgiving but rewards good placement. I get it, this is high season in Fl, but this is not a $99 golf course.
Visually, course is stunning and with better maintainance could be a gem. I would certainly play it again but only on a “hot deal”.
Slow Greens
The course if fabulous, but very slow greens. They are huge, so it takes quite a whack to get the ball to the hole. You cannot stroke the ball with the greens this slow.
always a joy
Play here often...World Woods is hard to beat! Rolling Oaks or Pine Barrens - flip a coin, both are great! Rolling Oaks may be a bit easier, but is not easy! Layout is the way its supposed to be - natural, no gimmicks! Wonderful!
Great course
Very enjoyable round on a great course in very good condition. I liked the very defined fairways with the light brown rough and green short stuff.
Big heads up for lady starter who brought my attention to the fact I could walk if I liked and facilitated it for me to play as a single.
Never disappointed
I have played Rolling Oaks three times and have come away with the feeling of wanting to play it again. I find the conditions are always superb and the course quite challanging. The staff professional and friendly but the clubhouse needs to be buldozed and rebuilt to get me to want to spend any time there.
Fantastic Course
Played this course for the first time and loved it. Challenging but still possible to shoot a good score. Loved the layout & pace of play was excellent. Will definitely play this course again.
Excellent Course
If you have not played either course (Rolling Oaks, Pine barrens) at World Woods you are missing out!
Great Greens
Nice layout with Traps strategically placed. And those undulating greens make for exciting putts
Phenomenal golf course. Course is always in great shape. The staff is fantastic. I enjoy playing both courses.
The course was prestine and challenging
From the first tee to the 18th hole Rolling Oaks was a beautiful golf course. The signature hole, the par 3 8th caught your eye as you exited the 7th green and is one of the prettiest holes in Florida. The golf course has large greens that putt as true as any course I've ever played and the black tees were a great challenge. Can't wait to tee it up here again.
A Pleasurable Experience
This course is in excellent condition. We thoroughly enjoyed playing despite some pretty strong winds. We will continue to come back and play it, again, in the future.
