About

Rolling Oaks is one of two championship courses at World Woods Golf Club. The layout offers something completely different from the renowned Pine Barrens course at the club, but it still offers the same amount of challenge and quality. The golf course is named after its landscape of rolling hills and forests of centuries old Oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Lush, rolling fairways lead to undulating greens that are protected by sharply defined, white sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The golf course has a traditional design but the dramatic elevation changes and picturesque landscape covered in azaleas, dogwoods, and magnolia trees really make it stand out. In addition to the two golf courses, World Woods also offers a nine-hole practice course and a circular, 20-acre driving range with target greens and practice bunkers.

This is me on one of the more difficult par 5's. If you play it and your a long ball, play it to the right fairway...You can make it...Lol.. Photo submitted by Robert5455343 on 11/16/2013

didn't get to play because of a escaped convict so the police shut down the course. How do I get a refund?
World Woods
Courses are always great...some of my favorites in the state. It wasn't the course's fault, but we caught 3 groups of foursomes on hole 9, so unfortunately we waited 10 minutes on every tee box on the back 9...it was SLOW!!! I hate SLOW players!
Excellent course with good staff
Pace of play was a little slow as we were behind 4 backed up groups. Rangers came and offered one group to play ahead and 2 other groups to play back nine on there other course. Really sped things up and we where able to finish. Very professional. Course in great shape.
1st Time Will Not be the Last
Played both courses back to back and had a great time. Staff helpful and friendly.
Rolling Oaks is more my speed but both courses beautiful and very well maintained.
Cart path only
I checked the site before playing and it said 90 degree for carts. No rain but it was cart path only. There was probably 3 wet fairways. But all holes CPO. Still a great course.
Wow
Just wow. Best course I have ever seen played. Pretty open fairways for how challenging of a course it is. Second shots are really the toughest part of the course. A lot of bunkers but always true sand making for reasonable out chances. Worth the hour drive from St Pete.
The Woods
The Barrens is ready for aerifcation. Needs it. Rolling Oaks is great! If they made the greens just a wee bit faster it would be perfect! Love this place!
This course rates as well as Innisbrook Copperhead
actually better condition than Copperhead ,and we love Copperhead .This Rolling Oaks course was outstanding shape and Scott and crew did wonderful job getting us 32 players early
Great Value, Great Local Course
I played both courses at World Woods as Pine Barrens is ranked in the Top 100 public courses in the US. I am very glad I decided to play Rolling Oaks as well. Rolling Oaks surprised me. The conditions on this course were significantly better than Pine Barrens. The greens had lots of undulations, but they did run rather slow for a course of this stature (probably 9 on the stimp). There are several memorable holes on the course and I found I took much more pictures of my round here than I did on Pine Barrens. If you are planning a trip to World Woods make sure you have enough time to play both courses. I don't know which course I liked better. I would give it 4.5 stars out of 5 if I could. Just can't compete with courses like Streamsong that are about the same distance away from Tampa. Great as a local course, very average as a national course. I wouldn't go too far out of my way, but if you are in the area then it is a MUST play.
Top Notch
One of the best courses that I've played....great layout on both courses.
Great conditions
Course was in great shape. We enjoyed everything. It's worth the drive.
Rolling Hills
We enjoyed golfing at Rolling Hills yesterday it was the first time that my friend and I have got there. We intend to golf there again the staff was good the course was great there's another course there that we would like to golf on next time I'm sure that will be golfing there within the next week we appreciate all that you have given us to enjoy. Thank you.
condition
Still in good shape. The fairway is really tough to hit irons compare to up north Pa.
Favorite place to play
Loved the course, staff was friendly. This is my favorite place to play, both rolling oaks and pine barrens are beautifullly manicured courses. Two thumbs up.
Best Value for the money!
This course was amazing. Great value. Tees, fairways and greens were immaculate. Very visually appealing. Will be back for sure!
Awesome Course
This is one of the most beautiful courses you could ever play. The fairways are lush and well kept. Tee boxes are stunning. Greens are impeccable. The greens are very very challenging and hard to read. Only thing I would say is maybe some ball washers and more water stations. Other wise I can't say enough good things about this course.
For the price compared to Streamsong or Copperhead, I bring a group about of every other year to World Woods from Chicago. We love the courses, all one sees is golf, no houses, and can play 36 a day for $140 in middle of a cold Chicago winter. I am all IN!
