About
Editor's Note: Course closed and redesigned as Cabot Citrus Farms.
Rolling Oaks is one of two championship courses at World Woods Golf Club. The layout offers something completely different from the renowned Pine Barrens course at the club, but it still offers the same amount of challenge and quality. The golf course is named after its landscape of rolling hills and forests of centuries old Oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Lush, rolling fairways lead to undulating greens that are protected by sharply defined, white sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The golf course has a traditional design but the dramatic elevation changes and picturesque landscape covered in azaleas, dogwoods, and magnolia trees really make it stand out. In addition to the two golf courses, World Woods also offers a nine-hole practice course and a circular, 20-acre driving range with target greens and practice bunkers.

This is me on one of the more difficult par 5's. If you play it and your a long ball, play it to the right fairway...You can make it...Lol.. Photo submitted by Robert5455343 on 11/16/2013

Exceptional Golf
Took my 16 yr old son for his first trip to World Woods and had the best day. Rolling Oaks is now his favorite course (but he's not played Pine Barrens yet). The course was lush, perfect fairways. The greens were in great shape too, but we would have liked to see them a bit quicker. Overall a fantastic day. Can't wait to return!
Excellent Afternoon
Great day mid 80's Nice layout, placement off the tees is crucial to good green approach. Elevation changes with wind makes you concentrate on good swings to score. Green about a 9.5-10 could have been a little faster.
Awesome course
Both courses at World woods are top shelf, challenging courses and both are in beautiful condition and a joy to play and just be on.
they have a great practice area too.
the only thing that world woods lacks is a nice clubhouse.
they really need a nice clubhouse where you could enjoy a drink and lunch or dinner.
for a place that has these 2 awesome golf courses the clubhouse is a big let down.
Great time, will probably return on next trip
We played green tees very comfortably, but it plays longer. Lots of elevation change for Florida. Overseeding with rye slowed the fairways and the greens. Practice area is immense. Hardly anybody there on a Saturday.
Nice layout
Not your typical Florida golf course
Great layout and great conditions that were ruined with a 5 and 1/2 hour round
No rangers to be found anywhere
Great overseed of fairways ans tee boxes
Very nice course with very good greens. The recent overseed is a total success. Some very interesting holes. Par fives in particular.
Big Fan
Loved Pine Barrens when I played it, but it was hard, maybe too hard for me and my wife. Rolling Oaks was just right. Course was in great shape, and the greens were the best I had been on all year.
Great course, great golf now price
World woods is one of the fine public courses around. The course is getting ready to overseed but is still great fun.
Rolling Oaks GC
Course I've played and reviewed before. Love the course layout and everything about it. Conditions today were just average though. Some of the greens showing some wear although they putted nicely. Almost every bunker was not raked and appear to have some new sand. Definite play.
Keep Rolling
Wow, the layout and scenery are great. The course features many challenges to both accuracy off the tee, short game and putting. Took 4 hours for a 4 ball so no complaints regarding pace. Looking forward to playing Pine Barrens in order to compare the two courses. Staff very helpful and friendly.
A very nice course
The pace of play was extremely slow. It took over 5 hours to play 18 holes. On one par 3 hole there were 5 groups playing the hole - the group on the green plus four others waiting on the teeing area,
Ok for price
First time played and found a little less than expected based on internet site info etc...The course was ok with greens needing something (cutting ?) Backed up and waited on 15 of 18 holes played. Played Rolling Oaks and might try the other course when open after seeding etc. Played Brooksville Country Club today and consider as far superior to Rolling Oaks...As a note the starter apologized for back up and had been involved with some less than receptive players a little earlier on pace etc,
vjimatjijoro
excellent course, maintained very well, will play again
Great course
Have played here before and conditions seemed better than ever. Three of us went around in under four hours so quite happy with the speed of play also.
One of the best
Great track. Choose the right set of tees and get a fair test of your game that rewards good decisions!
Outstanding
All was great, except the greens at Rolling Oaks were not fully healed. Played at 1:30 and the course was pretty much all to our threesome. Nice weather with a gentle breeze. Could not ask for much more.
World Woods Rolling Oaks
Excellent course, the greens are being reseeded and soon will be near perfect and quite challenging.
excellent
A great day. Course was in excellent condition, which is s uprising for this time of year.. The greens were a tad bit slow, but overall a great experience and what a great layout....
Beautiful course
Rolling oaks was very nice from tee to green, beautiful layout with tree lined fairways, lots of bunkers some were wash out from all the rains but they were working on them.greens fast and smooth, rangers were very nice and we had 1st tee time was quick round, definitely will be back
Great course!
This course is in excellent condition. We enjoyed every hole. Go play this course you will not regret it!
