Rolling Oaks is one of two championship courses at World Woods Golf Club. The layout offers something completely different from the renowned Pine Barrens course at the club, but it still offers the same amount of challenge and quality. The golf course is named after its landscape of rolling hills and forests of centuries old Oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Lush, rolling fairways lead to undulating greens that are protected by sharply defined, white sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The golf course has a traditional design but the dramatic elevation changes and picturesque landscape covered in azaleas, dogwoods, and magnolia trees really make it stand out. In addition to the two golf courses, World Woods also offers a nine-hole practice course and a circular, 20-acre driving range with target greens and practice bunkers.

This is me on one of the more difficult par 5's. If you play it and your a long ball, play it to the right fairway...You can make it...Lol.. Photo submitted by Robert5455343 on 11/16/2013

Worth the trip!
Finally, a course in Florida with elevation changes that is in great shape and worth the trip. Just go, and you'll see. Can't wait to try the Pines course!
This course should be on your places to play
World Woods has never failed me. Always in top condition with plenty of personality. Worth recommending to others.
Excellent Choice
We had heard only great things about this course and it more than lived up to it's reputation. Course is great to look at and play! Great greens. Only downfall was it had rained hard the day before and we had cart path only, but that's probably why it stays in such great shape.
world woods is awesome!!
course is in great shape. practice facilities are nice.
putty green HUGH !! HILLY !! FANTASTIC!!! only negative would be the greens were a little slow for world woods
Great Day On A Great Course
World Woods remains one of my favorite places in Florida. Today's round was played between thunderstorms but still, a wonderful day. The greens were a little slower than I would like to have seen them (especially on Master's Sunday) but still putting smoothly and true. Great course!
Anniversary Golf
Spent our 25'year anniversary on the course and we loved it. Great condition, beautiful course. The wife just won't stop talking about it. Made more of an impression than our cruise did a few years ago. Fantastic!
Always like playing here
Both courses are always in very good shape. I play here quite often and have a great time, every time. The greens on Rolling Oaks are in very good condiition. They roll true. Some are a little tricky with the undulations, but that just adds to the challenge. Play any of the two courses if you get the chance. You will not regret it.
Rolling Oaks WW.
Course is in good condition! Teesa and fairways alomst immaculate. Greens very nice but slightly inconsistent for speed but rolled very nicely anf true. No brainer and great value for the hotedeal.
Rolling Oaks
Course in best condition ever. I could play here every day.
florida trip
I stayed in tampa and saw a golf book concerning courses.i played the claw, westchase and both courses at world woods, I definitely liked world woods better!
Better than Pine Barrens...
Outstanding experience and great layout. World Woods is all about golf, so money isn''t spent on the whole "dining and locker experience". What you get are two great courses in terrific condition. I played both on back-to-back days and wasn't disappointed in the least. I thought Rolling Oaks was a better course... but then again, I'm from Philly... so playing "Pine Barrens" type courses are hardly unusual.
pretty and pricey
Naturally beautiful and people seemed nice. However 130 dollar price tag should come with a towel in the cart. Rained entire time and another towel besides the one i brought would have been really nice for a guy doesn't wear a glove. The bunkers need better sand and at least one rake in each greenside bunker. The mini rakes in the cart are a pain.
Woods course a great experience!
This layout is a gem in a quiet area 1 hour north of Tampa. You will use all your clubs, tee it forward and enjoy your time there! It's a must play if anywhere near Tampa.
Uncle Powie #2
Must play!
Great track. We had an excellent experience. The course is in excellent condition for this time of year. The pace on the day we played was a little slow, but acceptable. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Solid Track!
Good fairways and good greens! Really beautiful course!
Second Best Course at World Woods
We went on a cold, blustery day by Florida standards. The clubhouse, staff, and bar area was very nice. The course it self had some very nice and challenging holes, but overall I thought it wasn't in the best shape. The greens needed cut and rolled. The next day we played Pine Barren at World Woods, which was in much better shape and really an awesome experience. Overall both are fun courses that I would play again.
Great course. A must play!
Loved the course.
Golf course had tee boxes, fairways and greens in the best shape of any courses we played so far.
Wide fairways but big difficult greens. Easy to 3 putt.
Played day after a big rain, so it was cart path only. This kind of dampened the day. With big fairways too much walking and then had the wrong clubs in my hand! Hard to judge the distance from the cart paths. Did not enjoy this part of my day.
Would be a great experience if carts were allowed.
Check before booking the cart path rules.
Plan to play the sister course.
Must Play
A True Gem just under an hour drive from Tampa off the Toll Road.
This course was rated as the top 100 courses you can play in the US. So I figured that was a long time ago when it was rated. Low and behold that course is in excellent condition. I will go back and play the Pine Barron.
Very interesting course
This was the second time I have played here and it is a great course.
nice wide fareways and good bunkering
the course is always in very good condition, and the practice areas are great. Alway enjoy coming back when I'm in Florida.
